James Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Talk about forming one of the most explosive trio's in the NBA and the thought might just go on become a reality. Recent reports suggest "The Beard" is pondering his future with the Houston Rockets and according to ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins, there was this idea he threw in about the Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers being possible new homes for the Rockets star. Adding to this was Adrian Wojnarowski's tweet the idea was "resonating" with Harden.

Also of key importance is the fact that Nets assistant coach, Mike D'Antoni, formerly the Rockets coach will be there for Harden. This piece of news comes in even as Russell Westbrook wants out of the Houston Rockets. As per a New York Post report, Harden's acquisition would mean the Nets would have to surrender two of their four important players — Spencer Dinwiddie, Jarrett Allen, Caris LeVert and Taurean Prince. The site also added they might have to hand over their 19th pick in the upcoming 2020 NBA Draft. As far as the moolah is concerned, Irving and Durant are on whopping $141 million and $164 million deals, while Harden still has $131.5 million left on his Houston contract. Much of this of course boils down to what the man decides. But with Westbrook firmly intent on leaving, the Rockets title chances does take a beating.

Meanwhile, Netizens had their two cents to share on social media. One of the fans opined Harden should make the move if he feels there are no title hopes for Houston. "So what’s the point of Harden staying in Houston this year when he has no chance of winning and then only a slim chance next year IF they get another star. He should just demand a trade now if that’s the case," the tweet read.

For some, this was a chance for Harden to pick up a ring. "Bout time harden gets his well-deserved ring," a fan wrote.

Although, a few felt it would make the NBA way too predictable. "If the Nets land Harden it will make for just another boring NBA season knowing who's going to be in the playoffs and knowing who's going to be in the Finals," a fan commented.

There was a disappointment too. "Rockets fan. But we’re obviously not gonna win but I would wanna see harden win a ring," wrote one of the fans.

Among the flurry of emotions were also the doubts considering the trio's massive contracts. "I just wanna know how the Brooklyn Nets would build around Harden, Kyrie, and KD. Those 3 got some large contracts." asked one of the fans.

There were naysayers to the trade as well and they had their reasons. "Mark my words, this trade would be a horrific and awful decision for the Nets. It would end up in them blowing up their entire franchise. Three ball-dominant and selfish players will never work," a fan opined.

"That’s dumb how the hell can anyone think Kyrie and harden on the same team could possibly work," was one of the commonly asked questions.

Should Harden indeed leave the Rockets, it has been a slew of changes for the side after their second-round playoff exit in the previous edition having lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. Former coach, Mike D'Antoni is now replaced by Stephen Silas, while their GM, Daryl Morey has now gone on to the Philadelphia 76ers front office. Add Westbrook's potential departure to the mix, Houston has a problem.
