'Navillera': Release date, plot, cast, air time, where to watch and how to live stream Netflix K-Drama

'Navillera', the upcoming Kdrama to stream on Netflix stars Song Kang and Park In-hwan in lead roles.

'Navillera', the new tvN show to be broadcast following the end of 'L.U.C.A.: The Beginning' is based on a webtoon. The webtoon was published between July 26, 2016 to October 31, 2017. 

The webtoon was published via Daum Webtoon Corp. It was written by Hun and Ji-Min and the show itself was adapted by Lee Eun-mi who is famously known for having written the OCN thriller 'Tunnel'.

'Navillera' is scheduled to premiere on March 22 at 9 pm KST on tvN and can be streamed on Netflix.

Plot: 

Shim Deok-chool's (Park In-hwan) dream has been to perform ballet. He is 70 years old and retired from his job as a post office employee. As a young man, he had put his dream aside to be able to support his family and settled into working at a stable job. Now, Sim Deok-chool has decided to pursue his dream again. Shim Deok-Chool does not waver despite the opposition he faces from his family. This includes his wife and his adult children and that is why we see him getting readty to pursue his life-long dream. He joins a ballet company to learn ballet company, and it is here that he meets Lee Chae-rok (Song Kang).

The 23-year-old Lee Chae-rok had taken up different sports like baseball, swimming, and soccer, but he wasn't talented in any of those activities and that is how he ended up becoming interested in ballet. His mother was a ballet dancer, but she died when Chae-rok was young. His father became bankrupt. The young man realized that he's talented in ballet, but, after pursuing the dance form, he barely has contact with his father and he has a hard time supporting himself financially. It is when his desire to become a dancer begins to fade in the face of difficulties that Deok-chool appears and the two men learn life lessons from each other.

The show is directef by Han Dong-hwa who has previously worked on OCN shows 'Bad Guys: Vile City', 'Squad 38' and tvN's 2019 'Ms Lee'.

Trailer: 

The trailer of the show released by Netflix sees Chae-rok and Deok-chool face difficulties but in the end, the two of them might be each other's redemption. When Deok-chool met Chae-rok at the ballet studio where the latter practices, and the former has joined to reignite his dream, their passion will help each other cross obstacles and so far, the show looks like it will be heartwarming.
