NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Naomi Judd's psychologist was reportedly at the scene of her death when cops arrived at the star’s home after she took her own life. Judd died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on 30 April, 2022.

According to RadarOnline.com, a lawyer representing Naomi’s husband Larry Strickland and her daughters Ashley and Wynonna was also present along with an attorney representing the Sheriff and county involved in the investigation.

The outlet obtained a transcript of a hearing that was held on August 30, 2022, in Tennessee Court. The 76-year-old's family sued to block the release of records relating to the Naomi's death. Her daughter Ashley was at home when the incident happened. As per the outlet, Larry, Ashley & Wynonna have argued that the release of photos, videos and audio recordings relating to the incident would cause them emotional harm. The family also fears pictures of the same would be made public.

During the hearing, the lawyers said that the authorities have an “audio recording that was made, apparently, by a friend, and then provided to Mr. Stickland, and then provided to the detectives at a time when Ms. Judd was in distress before she shot herself.” The family’s lawyer told the court that the information contained Naomi’s medical records which the attorney for the Sheriff and county contradicted, saying they were in no possession of such records.

As per Radar, the lawyers also noted that police interviewed the psychologist who was actually at Naomi’s house when the police arrived. The judge asked, “So the psychologist was at the scene?” A lawyer replied, “He was.” The family demanded that the body cam footage be sealed, alongside other confidential information. Later in the hearing, when the judge when asked the lawyer representing the Sheriff if the body cam footage showed Naomi’s body, they replied in the affirmative.

Larry, who is the sole executor of Naomi’s will, had filed the legal case. Specifically, the family wanted to block the release of photographs and video recordings that they claim were taken at the scene. As per the family, some of these photos depict Naomi in a “graphic manner.” The filing states, "Naomi passed away in her residence on April 30, 2022," adding, “Mrs Judd’s death garnered attention from print, television, internet, and radio media outlets all across the world." They state that the Sheriff’s deputies employed by Rhoades “responded to the residence within minutes of receiving a 911 call.”

The court documents go on to say, “Mrs Judd’s accomplishments and her life were celebrated across the world. The loss felt by her husband and daughters, the Plaintiffs, cannot be understated.” The family of the star is concerned about media outlets gaining the access to the “photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and written reports” collected as evidence during the investigation of Naomi’s death.
