Why didn't Nancy Pelosi impeach AG Bill Barr? DOJ probe for voting irregularities in US elections dubbed 'coup'
Attorney General Bill Barr has approved a Justice Department probe of allegations of “voting irregularities” despite having little evidence of the alleged voting fraud in the 2020 presidential election, a report stated on Monday, November 9. Now all eyes are on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as the Internet wants her to impeach Barr and are also questions her for not impeaching him in the past.
In June, 2020 Speaking at a Washington Post virtual event, Pelosi ruled out Barr's impeachment. "One hundred and thirty-one days from now, we will have the solution to many problems, one of them being Barr," she said at that time.
As soon as Barr's latest move came to light people started requesting Pelosi to impeach him, and some criticized her for not doing the same in the past. One Internet user said, "US Attorneys need to indict Bill Barr for Obstruction of Justice. Nancy Pelosi and Gerry Nadler need to impeach Bill Barr regardless of Senate control. Keep him tied up during the transition having to produce documentation to support his false claims!" While another one wrote, "Should’ve impeached Barr long ago. Pelosi and House leadership never had what it takes to contain Trump’s minions."

Another one slammed her and said, "I don't really think Pelosi cares, she should have impeached Barr many months ago, DeJoy too. And Trump should be on his 3rd. She's not a fighter, she barely even tries." Questioning Pelosi's move, another one said, "What is stopping Pelosi from impeaching Barr... and Trump?"

Requesting to impeach Barr another one suggested, "The president-elect needs to immediately call a meeting with McConnel, Pelosi, Barr and Justice Roberts. We have a major malfunction in the Oval Office." Another one speculated Barr's next move and said, "Barr will invent stuff. I literally can’t stand the fact that Pelosi took no steps against Barr. Barr should be arrested for participating in a coup."

Suggesting a "coup" another one wrote, "I could see a negotiation between Pelosi, Schumer, Barr, and McConnell resulting in a coup." Calling Pelosi a "laziest political genius," one wrote, "But Bee-yun! Speaker Pelosi said it wasn’t necessary to impeach Bill Barr! And she’s simultaneously the smartest and laziest political genius person ever!"

While one shared the documents that Barr presented in front of the US attorneys and said, "Two things about Barr’s memo telling US Attorneys they may look into the 2020 election. 1) He overrides DOJ’s “general practice,” and gives directions favorable to the president. 2) He then tells US attorneys to avoid “specious, speculative, fanciful or far-fetched claims.”" Scared of the outcome, another one wrote, "Is Barr trying to turn ballots into “evidence” in an “investigation” so the DOJ can confiscate them and then release whatever “recount” numbers they want? Someone please say that isn’t what is happening here."

CNN Reporter Marshall Coen slammed Barr in a series of tweets as he said, "During the campaign, Bill Barr emerged as a serial liar about "voter fraud." He pushed false narratives, cited debunked claims, and doubled down on the absolutely ridiculous conspiracy theory that foreign countries would flood the US with millions of forged ballots," and "Sept. 12: Barr invented a spooky and totally false narrative that mail voting deprives people of a secret ballot. He was lying. Experts called him out. There are safeguards in place — in fact, many ballots are rejected for not having a "secrecy envelope"." He also said, "Sept. 25: Barr briefed Trump about an incident in PA with 9 mail ballots. Breaking protocol, DOJ said they were Trump votes. Trump used the incident to falsely say the election was "RIGGED." Turned out the incident was a mistake caused by lack of training."
