U2's Bono has been mocked online for composing an 'unhinged' ballad on Ukraine, which was read out by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on St. Patrick's Day. Nancy Pelosi read the poem written by the 61-year-old rock musician at the White House's annual 'Friends of Ireland' luncheon on March, 17 Thursday.

After Nancy Pelosi read Bono's opinion on the Ukraine crisis at the White House, it received a backlash, raising many eyebrows. The crowd exploded in laughter as Pelosi finished reading Bono's reflections on Vladimir Putin's cruel invasion of Ukraine before she uncomfortably moved on to promote a Riverdance performance. The guests in White House were presented to such lines: “They struggle for us to be free/ From the psycho in our human family/ Ireland's sorrow and pain/ Is now the Ukraine/ And saint Patrick's name now Zelensky.”

Tucker Carlson of Fox News said sarcastically said that Pelosi had "unveiled the most potent weapon armament" by reading out the poem. Carlson attacked the House Speaker cruelly, claiming that most individuals would have kept the poems to themselves or shared them with their families. “What you would not do is read it in public in deadly seriousness, unless you had your head so far up your own butt that you had no idea where you were, in which case, you'd pull it out and read it like you'd just ended the war.” “You and Bono. Thanks Nancy,” he said giving a smirk and mocking Nancy Pelosi.

Tucker Carlson tweeted, “Nancy Pelosi and Bono heal the world.”

After reading a poem on the war in Ukraine by U2 singer Bono, Nancy Pelosi laughed uncomfortably. As she delivered the poem with legislators on March 17, she explained that Bono had sent it to her that morning.

After Pelosi's recitation, the poem was ripped apart on social media since then, with one person dubbing it "the worst poem ever written." Another user wrote, “BREAKING Reports that Russian troops are surrendering en masse after being read a translation of Bono's poem.”

A Twitter user posted, “Wow…  #Pelosi just RUINED Anything #U2 #Bono for me! I cannot stop laughing!” “The international community must impose severe and comprehensive sanctions on Bono,” wrote one of the users.

“Bono I've written a poem to you. Bono sanctimonious you are. Bono Fuck Off. If that doesn't make me Poet Laureate I don't know what will,” a user booed Bono. A Twitter user posted, “I would rather Putin streamed his new album onto my phone than listen to #Bono's Ukraine poem.”
