Nancy Drew is all set to return to the small screen with enough mysteries and will pick up from where it left off. The teen detective drama returns this fall with its fresh fusion of supernatural with mystery and crime, 'Nancy Drew' might have had audiences skeptical at first but it eventually impressed many.

Season 2 fared a lot better with the audience as the fan rating on Rotten Tomatoes jumped from 70% to healthier 81%. And while you wait for Nancy and her crime-solving pals, here are some shows from The CW's slate that are worth tuning into: 'Riverdale', 'Roswell', and 'Dynasty'.

'Nancy Drew' Season 3 releases October 8 on The CW. 

Air time and how to live stream

The first episode of Season 3 will air on The CW on October 8 at 9/8c. Viewers can download The CW app from Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. Apart from that, The CW is also available on devices such as Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Vizio Smart TV, Chromecast, Android TV, AirPlay, Apple TV, and Xbox One.

Season 3 will center on Nancy's (Kennedy McMann) tussle with her ancestor, Temperance Hudson (Bo Martynowska) in the upcoming episodes. Temperance is residing in the body of Nancy’s distant cousin, Myrtle Hudson, and is gunning to take down the Drew Crew. Their clash forms the key storyline in the upcoming season. Also, expect some romantic plotlines as Nancy and Ace (Alex Saxon) will look to take their relationship further. 

The official logline reads: "SEASON PREMIERE – On the evening of Horseshoe Bay’s annual Harvest Carnival, a whole new mystery unfolds for Nancy (Kennedy McMann) when the body of a mysterious young man is discovered on the Hudson carnival grounds.  The Drew Crew (Leah Lewis, Tunji Kasim, Alex Saxon) is drawn into the case by a host of confounding clues surrounding a new menace terrorizing the town – a killer who has an enigmatic connection to none other than Nancy’s newest foil: Temperance Hudson (guest star Bo Martynowska).  Also starring Scott Wolf, Maddison Jaizani, and Riley Smith.  Amanda Row directed the episode written by Noga Landau and Melinda Hsu Taylor (#301).”

McMann debuted in a lead role with the titular character on the teen detective drama. Before that, she had brief appearances on 'Gone' as Sara Moreland and as Carol Solomon as 'Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. Leah Lewis plays Georgia 'George' Fan. The actress followed it up with her brilliant portrayal of Ellie Chu on Netflix's 'The Half of It'. She also had a recurring role on The CW's 'Charmed' as Angela Wu. Alex Saxon as Ace, Tunji Kasim as Ned 'Nick' Nickerson, Maddison Jaizani as Bess Marvin, and Scott Wolf as Carson Drew round up the rest of the cast.

Creators

The series was adapted for The CW by Noga Landau, Josh Schwartz (best known for 'The OC', 'The Gossip Girl' and 'Chuck') and Stephanie Savage (also known for 'Gossip Girl', 'Dynasty', 'The OC' and 'Fastlane'), and is produced by CBS Television Studios, in association with Fake Empire.
