Major spoilers ahead for Season 1 Episode 7 of 'Nancy Drew' titled 'The Tale of the Fallen Sea Queen'

With the Chinese exorcism of George (Leah Lewis), 'Nancy Drew' fused the supernatural with its murder mysteries of Lucy Sable (Stephanie Van Dyck) and Tiffany Hudson (Sinead Curry). In Episode 7, 'The Tale of the Fallen Sea Queen', the Drew Crew participates in a seance to find out how and by whom Lucy was killed.

Nancy (Kennedy McMann) is convinced that Lucy and Tiffany's murders are linked and that in order to solve Tiffany's murder, she must find out what happened the night that Lucy died.

But the dark spirits are back to Horseshoe Bay and George's mother Victoria (Liza Lapira) can see them bright as day. Why? Because the coins that the Drew Crew obtained at the auction last week have the power to summon these spirits.

And so, drinking away to render herself incapable of seeing the spirits, Victoria cannot conduct the seance. This means that the seance is now extremely difficult and dangerous to conduct. Nonetheless, they decide to conduct the seance by themselves using the coin.

Meanwhile, in Horseshoe Bay, tensions are heating up and there is pressure on authorities to solve the murders. There are posters stuck all over town accusing Chief McGinnis (Adam Beach) of working for the Hudson family thereby implying that he must have had something to do with covering up the murders.

Nancy also receives the news that Tiffany didn't die of natural causes; she was poisoned. But on the night of her murder, she was served a plate by Nancy herself with the meal cooked in the Claw. If Tiffany was indeed murdered who would have had the opportunity to poison her?

With the suspect list growing longer and longer, there is one more addition — Tiffany's sister Laura Tandy (Stevie Lynn Jones). As it turns out, if Tiffany's death is proved a murder and not a natural cause, the money from her estate wouldn't go to the Hudsons instead, it'll go to Laura. This is what makes Ace (Alex Saxon) suspicious of Laura. After some digging, he also finds out that the sisters were suing each other over money.

However, this information is passed on to Ace (Alex Saxon) by Carson Drew (Scott Wolf), who we know is working for the Hudsons. Could this be their plan to plant a clue against Laura? Or could this be a red herring?

That brings us to Carson's involvement in Lucy's murder. Tunji finds out that a large sum of money was transferred to Carson by the Hudsons two days after Lucy's death. That, combined with the bloody dress in the attic doesn't paint a good picture for Carson. At the end of the episode, Nancy asks him if he murdered Lucy. An answer we might know next week.

'Nancy Drew' airs on Wednesdays at 9 pm ET/PT on The CW.
