While every child dreamed of presents from Santa for Christmas, for Sadie (Malone Thomas), a perfect Christmas meant re-creating her father’s famous recipes. She knew from a young age that she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps to be a chocolatier, but life had different plans for little Sadie. However, when her boyfriend Michael cancels their travel plan at the last minute, Sadie heads home to spend the holidays with her parents.

However, on arriving home she realizes that her father’s chocolate store has been taken over by Alex (Jason Burkey), a stranger to Sadie, who knows nothing about chocolates. Unwilling to accept any justification from her parents, Sadie takes it upon herself to validate the new owner of the store and teach him everything she knows about chocolate.

But, her impression of Alex changes as they get to know each other better and soon connect over their passion and dedication towards making Sadie’s father’s chocolate business a success. Simultaneously, Sadie and Alex are also seen planning her parents’ retirement party.

Everything seems to be sailing smoothly between the two until Alex messes up with an order, the brunt of which is felt by Sadie. She’s also irked with Alex for taking over her father’s store, which had always been her dream job. Will Sadie forgive Alex in the Christmas spirit?

‘My Sweet Holiday’ is a slow movie, which runs high on dialogues and emotions. The film entirely relies on its plotline. It is predictable but well-executed. The cinematography is the headline of the film. You’ll find yourself drooling upon watching the making of the Christmas delicacies, which are further enhanced with brilliant camera shots.
