'My Policeman': Release date, plot, cast and all you need to know about love story starring Harry Styles, Lily James
Amazon has now signed a deal with Berlanti Schechter Productions to produce a film based on the critically acclaimed novel, 'My Policeman' with Harry Styles and Lily James in the lead role. The film will be directed by Michael Grandage.
James will be seen next on Netflix drama 'Rebecca' opposite Armie Hammer and Kristin Scott Thomas. She has also bagged a Netflix's movie titled 'The Dig', which is in post-production stage. Apart from this, she is also working on Amazon's series 'The Pursuit of love'. Styles has recently signed a thriller film titled 'Don't Worry Darling'. The last film in which Styles appeared was 'Dunkirk'.

The official synopsis of the film reads: "Story takes place in the late 1990s, when the arrival of elderly invalid Patrick into Marion and Tom’s home, triggers the exploration of seismic events from 40 years previous: the passionate relationship between Tom and Patrick at a time when homosexuality was illegal."
Harry Edward Styles was born on February 1, 1994, in Redditch, Worcestershire. His career in music began in 2010 when he took part in the British musical contest 'The X Factor'. When he got eliminated from the show, he was brought back to join the famous boy band, 'One Direction', which went to become one of the best selling bands of all time. In 2016, he released his first self titled debut album through Columbia Records, the album's lead single, 'Sign of the Times', topped the UK Singles Chart. In 2017, he made his acting debut with Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk'. His second album 'Fine Line' released in 2019 and made its way to US Billboard 200. It also yielded the single, 'Watermelon Sugar' which appeared on the US Billboard Hot 100. He has been nominated for three Brit Awards. He has won one Brit Award and one ARIA Music Award.
Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson was born on April 5, 1989, and studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She began her acting career with the British TV series, 'Just William'. She has also appeared in a supporting roll in period drama 'Downtown Abbey'. She made her Hollywood debut in 2015 with 'Cinderella'. Then in 2015, she played the character of Natasha Rostova in the period television series 'War & Peace'. She later starred in several films including 'Baby Driver' (2017), 'Darkest Hour' (2017), 'The Guernsey Literary' and 'Potato Peel Pie Society' (2018), 'Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again' (2018) and 'Yesterday' (2019).
Tony and Olivier Award winner Michael Grandage will direct from an adapted screenplay by Oscar-nominee Ron Nyswaner. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Robbie Rogers will produce along with Cora Palfrey and Philip Herd at Independent Film Company and MGC.
