'My Feet Are Killing Me: Steven has a rare condition where his left foot is four times smaller than his right
Steven Princter came to Dr. Brad Schaeffer with the hope of getting help with his feet that are different in size. Steven revealed that his left feet are size 7 while his right one is size 11.
Having different sized feet has made it harder for Steven to go about his everyday life. To add to the problem, Steven is also part of his football team and there were times when he found it difficult to play because of his feet.
He confessed that there are times he found his feet covered in bruises which ultimately results in a lot of pain. Steven revealed that he realized the change in his feet when he accidentally got hurt while playing a football match. Due to this incident, one of his ligaments tore which led him to go to a doctor.
It was then that the doctor revealed that one foot was four times smaller than the other. Steven believed that the reason for this could be that when he was born he had club feet. He added that his one feet faced the other side and he had to undergo surgery to make sure that it was brought back in place.
While the surgery was successful, Steven believed that the reason his feet feel like this could be due to it. Meeting Dr. Brad Schaeffer, he hoped that something could be done to help him.
However, after examining Steven's condition, Dr. Schaeffer confessed that there is nothing they could do about the different sizes of his feet but they could help him get the right shoes.
He further shared that on his right foot, he has a bunion, a type of condition in which the bones start growing outwards. Dr. Schaeffer suggested that surgery would be best for this condition and it would help him with the pain. Dr. Schaeffer agreed to go through the procedure.
During the surgery, Dr.Schaeffer revealed that he will be taking out one of the joints on his foot to make his walking comfortable. Once the required joint was out, Dr.Schaeffer realigned the other joints and to make sure that he gets the proper shape.
The next step was to remove the bunion which Dr.Schaeffer thought was the size of a silver dollar. The surgery went successfully and Steven was happy with the results.
Six weeks after the surgery, Steven shared that he was feeling better and he was happy to see how his feet looked.
