Holly has always been conscious about her feet as she states that she has webbed feet. She recalled while growing up there were numerous times when she was bullied by people and it affected her self-esteem and confidence. Holly confessed that she would often think of ways by which she could hide her toes.

To make matters worse for her, she suffered from webbed toes on both the feet. Unfortunately, no matter what she did, people made fun of her and she would often be called a duck. One of the worst memories that Holly had was from her eight grade when she had to wear heels for an occasion.

She tried her best to make sure that her feet looked like they were not webbed but she failed. After years of spending her time hiding her feet, Holly decided it was time to say goodbye to her webbed feet. To make this happen she decided to meet Dr Brad Schaeffer, hoping that he would help her out.

However, her consultation with Dr Schaeffer left shocked when she found out that what she had was not webbed feet but was a condition that was called 'syndactyly', a condition in which the toes looked similar to webbed feet. Dr Schaeffer said the only solution to this was undergoing surgery.

He added that it was much more than just slitting the toes into half and it was important to make sure that there was enough skin to cover both the toes. However, he decided to treat one toe at a time and told Holly not to put pressure on one foot once the surgery was done.

On the day of the surgery, Dr Schaeffer wanted to make sure that the toes are easily separated. While he was able to separate the two toes, fear started rising with the surgery when he realized that one of Holly's toe did not receive blood supply. He tried moving her feet to make sure that the supply kicks in but it did not yield a positive result for a long time.

He decided to use the help of a warm compressor in the hopes that blood supply will become quick. Unfortunately, that did not help and Dr Schaeffer started stressing out. He decided to undo some stitches and hoped that there will be blood flow. Luckily, that helped the blood flow.

Holly returned to meet Dr Schaeffer 11 weeks after the surgery and he was pleased with the results. Meanwhile, Holly too was happy to know that her toes were not attached anymore.

'My Feet Are Killing Me' airs on Thursdays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
