Dr Brad Schaeffer and Dr Ebonie Vincent have been changing the lives of people for a long time. However, people got to see their talent and skills when the pair appeared on 'My Feet Are Killing Me'. Dr Ebonie is a highly trained foot and ankle surgeon in Orange County, California. She has a lot of experience treating foot and ankle conditions and specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques, corrective and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, diabetic limb salvage, pediatric foot conditions, and sports medicine.

Dr Brad, on the other hand, has had experience working with different departments. These include surgery, orthopedic, wound care, podiatric medicine, diagnosis, physical therapy, and radiology. The two teamed up together to end the stigma around foot problems while appearing on the show and meeting patients. Here are some of the most shocking cases:

Glenn and his lobster-claw

(TLC)

Glenn Stevens came on the show to meet Dr Brad. He had been suffering from 'lobster-claw' like foot ever since he was born. Even though Glenn had consulted many doctors while growing up, none of them gave him a concrete answer. Glenn revealed he had a hard time working as his feet would start paining if he walked for a long time.

His wife, Sharon Stevens admitted there were times when he would not be able to get up because of the pain. Dr Brad explained his foot could be improved by undergoing a surgery called Syndactylization that will help him walk with ease.

Carly feels someone is taking a hot knife and dragging it across her foot

(TLC)

Carly D'Abruzzo has been suffering from foot pain for a long time, but it did not look as bad as shown in the picture above. Carly revealed she had surgery when she was 9-years-old because her toes were fused together. Unfortunately, her feet went on to become worse and reached a state where she is not able to walk properly.

Carly confessed that being a 25-year-old, she was tired of walking like a 95-year-old. She further added that there were times when the pain was unbearable. Dr Brad suggested they remove the extra layer on her skin to help her walk freely.

Ray has a twisted ankle due to an accident

(TLC)

Ray's life completely changed when he got into a car accident. He was driving to drop his brother off at their mother's house when a car came and hit their car. The accident left Ray with many broken bones. Since the accident took place in 1998, the technology that was used at that time was not advanced.

Even though the doctor managed to fix some of his bones, they were not able to do a great job. Dr Ebonie was shocked to see his condition but assured him that another surgery might be able to fix his foot and help him walk easily.

Car accident injures Consuelo's foot forever

(TLC)

Consuelo Garcia had a car accident in 1999. She recalled the accident caused her leg to go under the peddle and the pressure broke her bones. Garcia was immediately rushed to the hospital where the doctors advised her to amputate her leg. However, that was not an option for her.

The doctors tried their best to fix the bones they could but it was not helpful. Over the years, Garcia revealed the pain on her foot has been becoming worse. She made it clear that amputation was not an option. Dr Ebonie suggested they could restructure her stone by putting a rod inside it o help her walk again freely.

Cortney has one leg bigger than the other

(TLC)

Cortney Cox has had one leg larger than the other even since she was born. Over the years her condition has become worse as she explained it was hard to walk a couple of miles. To make things worse, Cortney felt that her condition could land her in a wheelchair while also affecting her relationship with her boyfriend who wants to start a family.

Dr Ebonie explained Cortney has a condition called Hemihypertrophy, which is a genetic condition. She suggested the best option Cortney had was to amputate two of her toes and remove the excess mass on her foot. Dr Ebonie assured Cortney it would help her walk properly and live a normal life.
