'My father Donald Trump has passed away': Sick joke on Don Jr's X hacked account has Internet in uproar
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The Internet went into a tizzy after a slew of bizarre tweets began appearing on Donald Trump Jr's feed on X (formerly Twitter). One said, "I am sad to announce that my father Donald Trump has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024."
Needless to say, the tweet sent his followers into a frenzy, while some slammed him for his "sick joke," others declared that former president Donald Trump's son's account had been hacked.
The Internet went into a tizzy after a slew of bizarre tweets began appearing on Donald Trump Jr's feed on X (formerly Twitter) which was hacked early Wednesday, September 20.
One of the tweets said, "I am sad to announce that my father Donald Trump has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024."
While Don Jr has not commented, the former president proved he was still alive by sending an unrelated message at 8.46 am on his own X rival, Truth Social. The message came nearly 30 minutes after the fake death announcement, reported Daily Mail.
This shocking tweet was not the only one to have been posted in the past 20 minutes on Wednesday, September 20. There is another expletive-laden tweet aimed at the President of the United States Joe Biden.
The post read, "F**k @JoeBiden Stupid A** N***a".
Who hacked Donald Trump Jr's account?
The series of offensive tweets were removed from Trump Jr's account just before 9.00 am. However, it remains who hacked his account.
Andrew Surabian, the former first son's spokesman tweeted that the messages posted on the account were "obviously not true," and confirmed, "Don's account has been hacked."

The account also has posts calling out YouTuber Logan Paul in another abusive statement. Jeffrey Epstein's secrets also have been referred to in one of the posts.
Online streamer Adin Ross also gets a mention before the person tweeting from the account writes, "This just in: North Korea is about to get smoked."
Internet chastise hacker for hijacking Donald Trump Jr's X account
One social media user wrote "Whomever you are, hacker, you should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They will find you. Bet on it." "This is not cool." another user commented.
One wrote, "Well, that was a scary 3 seconds!"
"I checked the calendar, it’s not April 1st." another user tweeted.

Eric Trump also joined in on the joke which led some online to believe that even Eric's X account may have been hacked too.
Eric wrote above a post mentioning Logan Paul: "I don't want @donaltrumpjr to get his account back. This is all too entertaining." Another joke he made was: "What was @donaldtrumpjr password? Don2024?"
