NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT: 'My 600-lb Life' explores the lives of morbidly obese people as they navigate life while attempting to live a healthy lifestyle. Geno Dacunto is one of the people that will feature in the forthcoming season of the TLC show.

Years of trauma and abuse for the stars of 'My 600-lb Life' frequently materialize in eating disorders. However, because of numerous socioeconomic and mental health concerns, it is not always simple for individuals to adopt a healthy lifestyle since they rely on food for comfort. Geno will appear in the season premiere with his cousin Nico, who wants to help him alter his ways. Geno, an Italian-American, weighs 684 pounds. During the episode, he will be challenged to lose 60 pounds in a month.

Who is Geno Dacunto?

The premiere episode of 'My 600-lb Life' will star Geno Dacunto who still lives with his mother and is eating himself to death. He graduated from high school in 2009 and studied culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University in 2013. He presently resides in New Haven, Connecticut, and has been in a relationship with Jessica De'Loughery since May 2022, as per his Facebook profile.



 

According to TLC's description of the cast member, "As an Italian American, Geno was raised with lots of love, family, and food. Now, he's still living with his mom and eating himself to death, and it's time to make a change. Geno's cousin, Nico, joins the cause, and they pledge to lose weight together."

Geno Dacunto, star of My '600-lb Life,' has an unhealthy relationship with food and frequently utilizes it to feel happier and more comfortable. In an exclusive clip shared by People, he revealed that his weight is making things worse and more difficult for him every day. His feet, back, and neck frequently suffer, and he mentioned that obesity runs in his family. "We're an Italian family, so when we eat, we eat in abundance," he said.

During 'My 600-lb Life,' Geno enlists the assistance of his cousin Nico Martone. Geno's cousin remarked that he is eager to change and that the two of them are embarking on this road together. During the episode, the two will see Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, who informs Geno that he has to drop 60 pounds in a month. They will be joined on their weight reduction journey by 11 other people, all of whom will be seeing Dr. Nowzaradan, nicknamed Dr. Now, as he helps them achieve their specific goals.

Who is Nico Martone?



 

Nico, Geno's cousin, is said to be instrumental in his weight loss journey. Currently, the Line Cook works at Silver Sands Beach and Tennis Club, as well as The Stand. He previously attended North Branford High School. The Cooperative Arts practitioner completed his higher education at Gateway Community and Technical College. Nico, like his uncle, is in a committed relationship. He has also gone a step further. Nico has been engaged to a lady called Rose Degen since the beginning of this year, according to his Facebook profile.

"He's very willing to change and I wanna lose weight with him. I'll be at his door pushing him," Nico, Geno's cousin and weight-loss buddy, agrees.

TLC will air the season premiere of 'My 600-lb Life' on Wednesday, February 1 at 8 PM ET.
