'Mulan': Meet Liu Yifei, Jet Li, Donnie Yen and rest of the cast of Disney classic's live-action remake
After what seems like an eternity of a wait, the live-action remake of 'Mulan' is releasing not in theatres, but on Disney Plus. Fans aren't entirely too pleased with this development, but at this point, something better than nothing, correct?
'Mulan' follows the inspiring story of the brave Fa Mulan, who pretended to be a man in the army so she could fight for her country against the Huns. The 1998 Disney film is considered a classic and there's been much debate on whether the film was revolutionary or not, as it was a departure from Disney's usual approach to women. Mulan wasn't a damsel in distress, she ensured that she had carved an independent status for herself and that she didn't need a man to survive.
Before the film releases on September 4, here's all you need to know about the cast.
