MTV Movie & TV Awards 2021: Addison Rae to Taylour Paige, here are the ten worst-dressed celebs on the red carpet
The MTV Movie and TV Awards 2021 saw top Hollywood celebrities thronging the event in a wide variety of fashionable ensembles. The event marked the red carpet appearance of movie and TV stars after over a year of virtual award shows due to the pandemic. Looking resplendent in their designer outfits and couture dresses, the celebs swayed the red carpet in style.
While some like Elizabeth Olsen, Kathryn Hann or Anthony Mackie kept it slick and simple in black, others like Jurnee Smollet, Madison Bailey or Yvonne Orji added a burst of color on the red carpet with their vibrant skirts and gowns. Host Leslie Jones also stole the show beaming in her ruffled coral gown as well as the sequined turquoise suit she donned later while presenting. However, not everyone was having a good day in the fashion department as celebs like Addison Rae, Taylour Paige, Chase Stokes or Snooki stood out for their appalling choice of attires. Here is a list of the ten worst dressed celebrities seen on the MTV Movie & TV Awards 2021.

Addison Rae
It was not just her on-stage kiss with 'He's All That' co-star Tanner Buchanan for which Addison Rae turned heads at the MTV Awards. Rae's shocking red carpet appearance was enough to shatter her 'good girl' image. The social media darling showed up in a barely-there bandeau bralette, paired with a long-sleeved black jacket and a floor-length black A-line skirt. The daring appeal of the Christopher Esber attire was perhaps marred by the decorative chain link belt around her waist.
She later donned a basic emerald floral gown with a long train, that was dubbed by Daily Mail as "a dress that looked like it would hang near the window at one's grandmother's house."
Chase Stokes
'Outer Banks' star Chase Stokes turned up the heat with his stunning all-red suit. However, there are conflicting opinions about the sheer top he wore inside. Not a conventional fashion choice, the top showed off his toned pecs and abs but did not quite appeal to the viewers. A Twitter user wrote, "chase stokes showing up to the mtv awards looking like THAT was so embarrassing."

Taylour Paige
Actress Taylour Paige of 'Zola' and 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom' fame was part of a major faux pas moment in her sheer jumpsuit and shimmery jacket from Gucci. While the black lacy jumpsuit left little to the imagination, the pairing with the glitzy pink bolero jacket rather dampened its appeal. "Lets talk outfits, these two didnt make the cut 2/10 star for both," a Twitter user said about Taylour Paige and Addison Rae's outfit.

Nicole 'Snooki' Polozzi
While the 'Jersey Shore' star looked glamorous, her dress reminded more and more of a lacy satin nightdress, especially when paired with the satin duster robe. The choker, embellished belt and Ariana Grande ponytail did little to mask the loungewear appeal of the dress.
Victoria Pedretti
The 'You' star's Louis Vuitton ensemble left a lot to desire as she sported baggy cargo pants with a patterned puff sleeve crop top. While it definitely looks comfortable, the dress is not something we usually expect to see on the red carpet.
Riley Keough
'Zola' co-stars Riley Keough and Taylour Paige together looked like Gucci disasters in their bizarre choices. Keough's three-piece sequined faux pas at the MTV Awards was actually worn before by Dakota Johnson in a Gucci promotional photo.
Johnson actually looked better in the ensemble with her signature bangs, nude makeup and a beige baguette bag. But Keough's bright blue eye shadow, metallic clutch, and chunky silver accessories did not pair well with the green sequined crop jacket, purple sequined tank and pink-green pants sequined pants.
Lana Condor
Lana Condor is known to stun with her fashion choices on the red carpet, but her Giorgio Armani gown at the MTV Awards did not impress much. The 'To All The Boys' star donned a heavily sequined, long-sleeved silver and black gown which felt out of place for the otherwise fun vibe of the red carpet. However, her hoop earrings by Messika Jewelry and dazzling diamond ring deserve special mention.
Sierra Capri
Actress Sierra Capri gave out Cher Horowitz vibes from 'Clueless' in her matching plaid blazer and skirt combination by Haleia, complete with earrings made from the same fabric. However, the chic charm of the dress was marred by the ruffled neckline with elongated collars on the front, as well as Capri's 90s-inspired glossy lipstick and braid.
Heidi Klum
Supermodel Heidi Klum is otherwise known for her stunning red carpet looks but did not make the cut to the best-dressed list this time. Her knee-length three-quarter sleeved dress worn with a black bodysuit underneath was not quite impressive. Designed by ALIETTE, the dress was accessorized with a chain diamond choker and thigh-high black boots.
Mary Fitzgerald
'Selling Sunset' actress Mary Fitzgerald channeled her inner animal with this one-shouldered animal print gown with a thigh-high slit. However, the gaping cutout at the waist and the funky metallic belt did not sit well with fashion experts, nor were they fans of her metallic accessories.
