MSNBC anchor Mehdi Hasan calls out Marjorie Taylor Greene for falsely hinting at anti-war stance as she showed support for left-wing org
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Far-right politician and conspiracy theorist Rep Majorie Taylor Greene became the center of attention for many leftists as she shared a post on X suggesting she supports an anti-war left-wing organization.
MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan came in to express the false stance Greene seemed to be taking as she is known for supporting a war against Mexico alongside the one between Russia and Ukraine.
Later, he also highlighted the clarification given by the anti-war organization revealing that MTG had merely taken photos with their volunteers.
Marjorie Taylor Greene gets called out for false support toward anti-war org
The Republican politician posted a set of photos on X recently that suggested her support for Code Pink, a feminist organization focused on an anti-war and militarism ideology.
"The war in Ukraine must END!," Greene's post said, "Today, I met brave @codepink activists who protested for peace in Bernie Sanders’ office. He had 11 of them arrested!"
She further wrote, "Peace & free speech shouldn’t be a partisan issue. We don’t agree on most things, but we do agree Congress should STOP fueling the war in Ukraine!"

The photos showed Greene posing with three volunteers of Code Pink who could easily be spotted because of their pink t-shirts with anti-war slogans.
The organization later came in to clarify that Greene has no such claimed association with them and had just asked for photos from their volunteers for her social media page.
"MTG opportunistically approached our volunteers in a parking lot on the Hill and she requested they take a photo together," their post on X said.
They added, "Our volunteers weren’t sure how to respond & immediately reached out to us about what happened after the fact. This picture was not initiated by our organization."

Mehdi Hasan slams MTG for falsely taking 'anti-war' stance
The MSNBC host came to X to first post about how "depressing" and "infuriating" it was to see a left-wing organization deciding to side with Greene. He later deleted that tweet after Code Pink made the clarification.
"Deleting my earlier tweets as @codepink are clarifying, thankfully, that they are not working with or coordinating with Marjorie Taylor Greene," his post read.

In one of his previous tweets in response to MTG's post, he declared, "For the record, Greene is not ‘antiwar’, she wants war with Mexico and is okay with Russia’s war on Ukraine. She also pushes fascist, racist, Islamophobic, antisemitic, and white supremacist talking points."
Here, Hasan was referring to Greene demanding multiple times that Mexico cartels should be bombed and that the US pull out of the Ukraine aid.
The news host decided to retain this tweet on his profile.
