In a pivotal scene, Kamala’s father reminisces about Partition. Muneeba is uncomfortable about the topic and excuses herself to head to the kitchen. Yusuf narrates to Aamir's fiance Tyesha the story about  Muneeba’s mother, Sana, who got separated from her family before the last train left the station in the city during Partition. Though her father tried to find her, he failed. However miraculously Sana manages to find her father and when asked how she did it, Sana said that "she followed a trail of stars, right back to her father.”  Tyesha asks about Sana’s mother, but no one knows what happened to her that night. As Yusuf finishes his story Kamala’s bangle starts illuminating and she falls in a trance where she sees a vision of a mysterious woman standing in front of her.

In the next scene, Kamala calls her grandmother Sana and asks the story about her bangle. Sana confirms that the bangle belonged to her mother, Ayesha, but she does not share anything else and hangs up.  Later, when Kamala asks her mother about Ayesha, Muneeba becomes uncomfortable. She describes Ayesha as “that woman brought shame on our entire family,” and when Kamala enquires more, Muneeba tells her to let it go. In another important scene, Agent Cleary has a conversation with  Zoe and enquires about  the "enhanced individual" who tried to kill her. Zoe clarifies the individual saved her. Agent Deever then enters the room, asking Zoe if she can describe the identity of the enhanced individual. After some time the two agents decide on sweeping the tri-state area and searching every temple, community center, and mosque.

Over at the mosque, Kamala is celebrating Eid Mubarak! with her family and friends. She tries to gain information from the "Illumin-Aunties" and they reveal some shocking details about Ayesha. They call her  a snake, who put a curse on everything she touched. One lady reveals that she had secret affairs, and Aunt Ruby says she even heard Aisha killed a man once which horrifies Kamala.

Towards the end of the episode, Kamala almost saves a young boy who loses his footing from the mosque tower. In her Captain Marvel costume she climbs the tower and the crowd quickly spots “Night Light” moving towards the boy and they start taking videos. While saving the boy, Kamala's  bangle starts to  become weird and Kamala sees another vision of the mysterious woman from before, which makes her lose focus and the boy falls to a parked car below. Amid the chaos Kamala runs and she quickly realizes she is being followed by a drone.

The Damage Control makes their appearance and tries to capture Kamala. However Kamla escapes when a car pulls up and Kamala realizes Kamran is driving it and he instructs her to get in.

Kamala removes her mask and all of a sudden a woman in the backseat speaks she’s excited to finally meet her, and to Kamala’s and the viewers  surprise it’s the same woman from her visions. “I’d like you to meet my mom,” Kamron says.

The second episode has raised many questions. Who is Ayesha and what is her secret ? What are the intentions of Kamran and his mother ? Episode 2 has delivered expectations and it will be interesting to see how the future chapters unravel these secrets and how they are connected to Kamala's story.
