MrBeast gives away house to 'random trick-or-treater' on Halloween, Internet mocks YouTuber 'now they gotta pay for utilities'
GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA: In a recent revelation, MrBeast said that he handed over the house he had purchased for Halloween to a "random trick-or-treater," who knocked on his door.
Trick-or-treaters are persons (most often children) who, on Halloween, walk door to door dressed in costumes. They yell "trick or treat" whenever a door is opened, implying that they will play tricks on people who refuse to give in and ask for treats like candy or cash.
MrBeast surprised trick-or-treater
One of the richest YouTubers, MrBeast firmly feels that community service is important and gives back to the community a lot. Furthering this cause, he recently gave a new house to a young trick-or-treater.
The YouTuber and his friends decorated a house for Halloween and they gave the house keys to a child who had come anticipating candies.
MrBeast handed the boy the house keys and said, "I like your costume, here's the keys to this house."
He then placed them in his bowl of candy. While the youngster was away, his family approached him, seemingly unable to believe that they had gone trick or treating and ended up with a brand-new home.
They verified that they had seen MrBeast's channel, thus they were aware that when he had indicated they would be receiving the house they had shown up at, they would, in fact, be receiving a new home.
The family's reaction was essentially one of shock upon hearing, "That's the key to this house that you just won," and the child went in to give him a hug.
MrBeast showed the family their new home, accompanied by gifts and appreciative comments. The family claimed to no longer worry about mortgage or rent, reducing financial burdens for the rest of their lives.
MrBeast shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter) stating, "I bought a house before Halloween and gave it to a random Trick Or Treater :D"

MrBeast's generosity raised concerns on internet
While the community has always been grateful for MrBeast's generosity, there was conjecture this time around that the giving of the house had increased the family's house care responsibilities.
A user wrote, "Great now they gotta pay for utilities, electricity, and hire a moving company. real classy mr. beast!"

Another added mockingly, "Wonder if the kid can afford the property tax, insurance, etc - poor kid just got burdened with adult bills."

On the other hand, MrBeast's fans supported him. A fan commented, "I’m pretty sure he paid for the house in full they won’t pay mortgage on it."
