Motorcyclist riding 'ILLEGALLY' flees after crash on NYC boardwalk, leaves passenger to die
QUEENS, NEW YORK: A motorcyclist fled the scene after crashing his two-wheeler on the Rockaway Beach boardwalk Monday afternoon, August 29. The man, who has not yet been identified, left his pillion rider friend on the ground to die after he was flung from the motorcycle.
According to the New York Post, the motorcyclist was riding a 2022 Qipai Hunier dirt bike illegally westbound on the boardwalk near Beach 47th Street. He was spotted on the boardwalk shortly after 3.pm. He reportedly lost control and struck a bench and a male pedestrian. The man's passenger was identified as 26-year-old David Molina. He reportedly suffered serious head injuries. David Molina, who is from Cedarhurst, New York, unfortunately, succumbed to his head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Motorcyclist leaves friend to die after crashing on NYC boardwalk
According to the New York Post, the motorcyclist fled the scene on foot and has not yet been arrested. The unidentified man crashed into a 55-year-old pedestrian as he fell. Police said the pedestrian was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center with minor injuries. Police told the publication that the investigation into the case is ongoing. A sign along the boardwalk indicates that no motorized or electric bicycles, scooters, or ATVs are allowed.
David Molina, who died on the spot, had told his mother he was going to Brooklyn for a job interview Monday, the Daily News reported. However, on Monday afternoon, Molina lay dead on the Rockaway Beach Boardwalk in Queens after his head hit the sidewalk.
‘He told me that he was going to go to an interview’
Talking to the publication, Molina’s mother asserted, “He told me that he was going to go to an interview. I don’t know what happened. He didn’t tell me, because we didn’t talk all day. He didn’t answer me.” She last saw her son on Sunday, August 28 when he informed her about applying for the position of a plumber.
The mother in Spanish added, “(I feel) bad, very bad. I don’t feel well. I don’t know how it happened.” According to Daily News, Molina died on the boardwalk, about four miles from his home in Cedarhurst, Long Island. Molina’s aunt said, “(That) friend of David’s, he only took him out to die. (He did) so much damage. (David) was a good man.”
