Woman tortures her three children including pulling out their toenails as a 'gesture of love' to impress new boyfriend
A mother has been arrested in Mexico City over claims that she was torturing and abusing her three young children in an attempt to impress her new boyfriend. It was reported that she even pulled out their toenails in order to impress him.
Mexican media have reported that 26-year-old Jennifer Marisol carried out these acts on request of her boyfriend, Jose Omar Trujillo, as a "gesture of love".
The children's father, Mauricio Alberto, who was concerned about his children reported the alleged abuse to the Women's Justice Centre in Ecatepec in Mexico City and claimed on social media that the mother’s boyfriend was involved in the torture.
"I would like you to help locate my children Guillermo, 9, Samanta, 7, and Melissa, 1, who have been sexually and physically abused by their mother and her boyfriend," he said.
The children are now living with their father and have undergone physical and psychological evaluation, according to local media.
Alberto alleged that he found videos in which Marisol can be seen torturing the children, by pinching and shaking the youngest child and filming another while their nails were being pulled out. She has been detained while under investigation for domestic violence. It is still unclear whether the boyfriend has been arrested as well.
Before being arrested, Marisol had alleged on Facebook that her former partner Alberto was making up the claims to get custody of their three children. She said that Alberto raped and beat her when she was pregnant and that he threw her and the children out of their home.
She added that she had had a restraining order issued against Alberto for his alleged violent behavior.
An investigation into the case is ongoing.
