A mother allegedly tried to murder her sick 13-month-old son by pouring bleach in his feeding tubes. According to the police, the Perth woman Brooke Lucas allegedly attempted to feed her son William the fluid on December 29.
The baby was born with a rare condition called Pierre Robin sequence and needs round the clock care. He was rushed to the hospital and the doctors were able to ensure that he did not suffer any serious harm. As reported by PerthNow, the child has now been discharged from the hospital. Lucas faced the Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday and was charged with unlawful intent to kill or endanger human life. As reported by Channel 9, Brooke was inconsolable while she appeared in court and will reappear on Monday.
