Ohio mom who filmed herself raping 4 children aged 3-8 with boyfriend gets life term, 3 victims were her kids
One of the children who was Brewer's victims had written a letter to her rapist mother which read, 'I hate you for what you have done. You will never touch me again. Goodbye'
BROWN COUNTY, OHIO: A mother has been sentenced to prison for life for raping four children, three of whom are her own after one of the victims told her "you'll never touch me again".
26-year-old Amber Brewer was jailed for life in September in Brown County, Ohio after she had pleaded guilty to filming herself raping and sexually abusing children. As per WKRC, investigators revealed that Brewer and her boyfriend Bill Sheeley, 47, had raped the children who were boys and girls aged 3,4,6, and 8.
Brown County Prosecutor Zac Corbin shared in the court, "I can tell you judge, without question, this is the worst offense I have seen in my entire career in the criminal justice system." Corbin shared that Brewer and Sheeley had made videos of their depraved acts and would send them back and forth between themselves.
The sick couple would also discuss the abuse and the footage. A seemingly calm Brewer had appeared in court and had said 'guilty' four times to each count that she was charged with. One of the children who was Brewer's victims had written a letter to her mother which was read out in the court by the child's father.
The letter read, "Why did you do what you did to me? I hate you for what you have done. I don’t love you anymore. I wish I could kick your butt to the sky so you could never ever come back and touch me again. You will never touch me again. Goodbye."
As judge Scott Gusweiler went on to sentence Brewers, he told her, "The age of the victims are of severe concern to this court, the harm that was visited upon these victims cannot be fully fathomed and certainly cannot be understated. Getting your boyfriend to go ahead and violate these children along with you is reprehensible."
Brewer was given four consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. According to The Ripley Bee, Sheeley attempted to kill himself three times while in jail after he and Brewer were arrested in May. Sheeley's attorney had tried to claim that he was insane but he has been found competent to stand trial.
A Brown County Sheriff's Office detective revealed that Brewer "was very open and willing to admit to what she did" as per WXIX-TV. She had spoken to the detective and shared, "she always had fantasies about doing these types of sexual things with small children and Bill shared her desires."
Sheeley however, told the detective that he had never imagined doing such a thing with children until "Amber came along, and then his fantasy became a reality for him." As Brewer pleaded guilty to her crimes, all four rape charges were dismissed. Sheeley was indicted on 29 charges which included rape and sexual conduct with an animal.
While Brewer was sentenced, prosecutor Corbin shared, "These agencies will sometimes identify child pornography materials and link them to Brown County," referring to how local investigators had received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Crimes Against Children task force.
"They flagged a couple of images and worked back through the IP addresses and linked them to a couple of accounts belonging to Brewer and Sheeley. That led them to some online communications where these materials were being sent back and forth," Corbin shared.
