NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Morning Joe’ host Mika Brzezinski was joined by conservative attorney Geroge Conway as the two discussed Donald Trump, and his children, who are scheduled to testify in their father’s civil fraud trial in New York.

Brzezinski posed a series of questions to Conway, with a particular focus on the Fifth Amendment.

Conway proceeded to provide Brzezinski and the viewers of 'Morning Joe' with insights into how the situation might unfold when Donald Trump Jr, Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump testify.

Geroge Conway calls Donald Trump’s children ‘hostile witnesses’

‘Morning Joe’ host Mika Brzezinski shed light on Donald Trump and his family’s court schedule for November before she asked conservative attorney George Conway more about it.

Brzezinski reported, “Right. This week, several members of the Trump family will be taking the stand in the $250 million civil fraud trial against the former president and his company.”

She also shared the schedule and order in which Trump’s children will take the stand, “The New York State Attorney General's Office announced on Friday they plan on calling Trump's oldest children to the stand on separate days this week.”

She added, “Donald Trump Jr will testify this Wednesday, followed by Eric Trump on Thursday, and Ivanka Trump on Friday.”

“The former president himself is expected to be called next Monday. Prosecutors say they expect Trump will be their final witness,” added Brzezinski, before she questioned Conway on the matter.

Brzezinski asked, “George, a couple of…I mean, there are so many questions here. Procedurally, first of all, can they not show up for some reason, family members? If they do, can they plead the Fifth and not answer questions? Or do they have to show up, and do they have to answer questions?”

Conway responded to Brzezinski with clarity and information for ‘Morning Joe’ viewers.

Conway said, “They have to show up, but they can take the Fifth Amendment. They are under subpoena. They're called, in trial terminology, hostile witnesses, witnesses not cooperating with the plaintiff, being the state of New York.”

Conway reiterated that Trump’s children “have to show up” because “they could be held in contempt and sent to jail if they violate that order.”

As for the Fifth Amendment, Conway explained, “the invocation of the Fifth Amendment can be used to draw a negative inference against the defendant,” because it is a Civil case.

The ‘Morning Joe’ panel continued to discuss Trump, but the focus of the viewers remained on Trump’s family, and them talking the stand, on consecutive days.

After ‘Morning Joe’ host Mika Brzezinski questioned George Conway about Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr, Eric Trump, and Ivanaka Trump taking the stand, the internet was quick to respond.

One user wrote, “Trump family Griftsmas is never going to be the same!” and another commented, “This is going to be fascinating. What a pity it is not televised so that the world can see this family for what they are.”

“All the Trump family in court together kinda makes one feel warm and fuzzy inside. It’s nice seeing accountability become reality...a totally foreign concept for them all,” expressed one user.

Some people are convinced that Trump’s children will plead the Fifth, “They will plead the 5th and not answer anything,” wrote one user, and another said, “We all know what they’re going to do even when under oath. Lie, deny, deflect, project, and plead the fifth.”

Nevertheless, the internet mocked Trump and his family following this ‘Morning Joe’ report, “The family that grifts together stays together.”
