NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Indian-American entrepreneur and GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy tweeted a video of his 2003 interaction with Al Sharpton.

Later, Willie Geist played the same on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe.’

Geist pointed out on 'Morning Joe' that Ramaswamy referred to himself as an “outsider,” whereupon the show aired a clip of Ramaswamy talking with Sharpton and questioning him about his political experience.

As reported by The Gazette, former governor of South Carolina and GOP candidate Nikki Haley called Vivek Ramaswamy, “completely naïve.” Geist began the report on Ramaswamy with Haley’s comment on Ramaswamy before he played the video.

“There was a clip circulating on social media of a 2003 Presidential Town Hall on MSNBC ‘Hardball’ with Chris Mathews, with one Reverand Al Sharpton who was running for President in 2004 campaign, questioned by a young student about his experience, that student, Vivek Ramaswamy,” Geist said before ‘Morning Joe’ played the video.

After the video ended, Geist chuckled and then moved on to talk about Sharpton.

However, after MSNBC uploaded this particular segment on YouTube, the comment was filled with viewers mocking ‘Morning Joe’ and thanking MSNBC for giving Ramaswamy publicity.

Another viewer thanked MSNBC, “I'd like to personally thank MSNBC for giving Vivek so much publicity. It is the kind he will need to become the next president of the United States. ”

People rushed to support Ramaswamy as one comment read, “Oh my God these people. They're digging deep trying to find anything they can against my boy Vivek  I'm loving this. Ramaswamy Revolution 2024 baby.”

Some viewers believed the left is “scared” of the GOP candidate, “Left-wing is really scared of Vivek. Putting time and effort in finding evidence against him.”

Several people also couldn’t help but point out that Ramaswamy was the one who uploaded this video, which was never touched upon by Geist.

One person said, “Vivek himself uploaded this clip on Twitter. They are showing as if they have investigated and found this video.”

Another one commented, “This is what Vivek tweeted from his account... Why is MSNBC acting as if they found this out?? Lol”
