'Morning Joe' host Joe Scarborough asks what 'explicitly groping' means as he plays Lauren Boebert 'Beetlejuice' clip
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Over the weekend, Representative Lauren Boebert made the headlines after she got “ejected from watching a 'Beetlejuice: The Musical’ performance after she openly vaped in the audience, groped her companion and was graphically felt up in kind,” The Guardian reports.
On Monday, September 18, ‘Morning Joe’ hosts Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, and Jonathan Lemire discussed Boebert and her actions in detail.
As Lemire explained the turn of events that took place, which was also followed by an apology from Boebert, Scarborough had a question for Lemire, after the latter reported on the “explicit groping” that ensued.
Jonathan Lemire discusses Lauren Boebert's infamous clip
On MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe,’ Jonathan Lemire reported on the events that played out with Lauren Boebert and her date as they watched ‘Beetlejuice: The Musical’ together.
As Lemire narrated the incident, ‘Morning Joe’ played a clip of Boebert, which has also made the rounds on social media.
“According to the Denver Post, a pregnant woman seated behind her asked her to stop before Boebert was ejected for causing a disturbance at the show,” reported Lemire.
He continued, “but thanks to the high-quality cameras there in the theatre, Boebert had to change her tune and apologize after surveillance video revealed that she was indeed vaping as well as she and her companion explicitly groping each other repeatedly while they were in their seats.”
Joe Scarborough interrupts Jonathan Lemire’s report
Jonathan Lemire continued his report on Lauren Boebert, “The congresswoman, a mother of four, and a grandmother said – I simply fell short of my values…”
Before Lemire could finish his sentence, ‘Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough interrupted him, “Jonathan, when you said explicitly groping each other, what does that mean?”
Mika Brzezinski, Scarborough’s co-host and wife spoke up before Lemire could, “I mean, don’t ask Jonathan to answer that.”
Lemire, however, did respond to Scarborough’s question, “I think Lauren Boebert is not one known for reaching across the aisle in Congress, but there was some of that here with her male companion.”
Lemire also added, “Let’s say they were handsy in their behavior,” before he continued to report on the incident.
