Spoilers ahead for ‘Money Heist’ Season 4 Episode 5

The lonely wolf is on the loose and it’s only a matter of time before the Chief of Security Gandia (José Manuel Poga) hunts down each one of the gang.

The never-ending issues driven by a zillion emotions and the battle of power has not only created differences among the team members who have only a couple more minutes to complete the heist and make it out of the Bank of Spain alive, but they are also being dealt with a lot of levity.

However, their downfall serves as an opportunity to Gandia, enabling him to act more meticulously after capturing Tokyo (Ursula Corbero) and keeping an eye on every move of the robbers and hostages from the secret room beneath the bank.

Episode 5 of ‘Money Heist’ Season 4 also introduces us to Julia, formerly known as Juonito, an infiltrator who was chosen by Berlin (Pedro Alonso) to watch out for the hostages while the rest of the gang was occupied melting tons of gold at the Bank of Spain.

Whether Julia will remain loyal to The Professor (Alvaro Morte) or not, is one question we need to find an answer to since only more chaos unfolds in their mission, thus putting her integrity to the test.

While a part of the episode saw Palmero (Rodrigo De la Serna) put the orange jumper on to redeem himself and take the heist forward in Tokyo’s absence, the rest witnessed Nairobi (Alba Flores) back on her feet and a romance brewing between her and Bogota (Hovik Keuchkerian).

However, what stood out in ‘5 Minutes Earlier’ the most was Denver (Jaime Lorente) and Rio’s (Miguel Herrán) face-off with Gandia, which ended even before it began, as the Chief of Security slyly slid in a grenade into the elevator while the duo was busy fighting over their feelings for each other’s former partners. The elevator door shuts on Dever and Rio, leaving them with a ticking bomb, which explodes within seconds, even before they could react to what had befallen them.

The chances of the robbers emerging successful with an assassin on the loose have been narrowing with each passing hour. But, we still held on to the last strand of hope tightly counting on the new in-charge Palmero, who could use his expertise in engineering to capture Gandia.

Should Denver and Rio be blown up in the explosion that took place in the elevator, how will the rest of the robbers stand any chance against Gandia or the police?

‘Money Heist’ Season 4 is available to stream on Netflix.
