Woman threatens to blow Black father's head off with 9mm gun as he watches his children play, calls him N-word
A woman was filmed repeatedly using the N-word and threatening to shoot a Black man's head off with her gun as he sat in his car watching his children in a playground. The woman, in the video taken by the man, could be seen standing outside his car questioning his whereabouts. When she approached the man and began asking intrusive questions from him, he asked her: "Why you in front of my car? Why would you ask me why I'm here? It's a public f***ing park! Back up from my car... You might have the corona, get back."
The woman then replied with: "I don't have the corona but I got a 9mm to blow your f***ing head off," however, she later insisted that she was just joking about shooting him.
The man, however, continues to ask her: "Now we joking? Can you please walk away from my car? You don't need to know why I'm right here." To which, she replies with: "Yea I do because I pay rent right here." The man then lashes back, saying: "I don't give a f***. As long as you pay rent right here, I will stand right here."
The man then proceeds to pan his phone camera towards his children in the distance, who appear to be confused about what is going on at the moment. When he confronted her, the woman also admitted that she called the man the N-word, however, she insisted that she did not use the word in association with his race, and was just trying to call him stupid by using the cuss word. She said: "You're so funny. N***** does not mean black. N***** means stupid. Oh my God. Are you crazy?"
The woman, who has not yet been identified, also said that she did not do anything wrong and insisted that she was concerned about the welfare of his children and that's why she was interrogating him. She continued arguing with the man, saying: "You're sitting in a f***ing car just like any other God d**n black man that doesn't take care of their f***ing children." The woman, before walking away from the scene, also called him a "worthless piece of shit."
Although it is not yet confirmed whether the woman in the video is White, there have been increasing reports of White women calling authorities of confronting Black people doing the most mundane things. White women are generally deemed "Karen" by social media. 'Karen' is a popular moniker designated to racist and entitled White women. Amid rising reports of racially discriminatory 911 calls being made targeting Black people across the country, the 'CAREN Act', or the Caution Against Racially Exploitative Non-Emergencies Act, was introduced by a San Francisco official on July 7. The particular Act has been introduced as an ordinance and seeks to impose fines on anyone making false and discriminatory emergency reports in the region.
The CAREN Act was introduced by San Francisco Supervisor Shamann Walton and is homophonous with 'Karen.' "Central Park Karen" is a recent high-profile example referring to Amy Cooper, a White woman who called the police on a Black man after he asked her to keep her dog leashed in Central Park. Amy Cooper, an investment banker, who was later fired over the incident, made a phone call feigning being threatened by the Black man who was birdwatching in the park. She was charged on Monday, July 6, for falsely reporting an incident in the third degree. The charges against her, however, do not account for any racial bias.
