‘Modern Family’ Season 11 Episode 7: Will Jay name Haley the successor to Pritchett's Closets on ‘The Last Thanksgiving’?

Will Jay consider Haley the perfect fit and offer her the role of CEO at Pritchett’s Closets and Blinds? Or, take over himself, which wouldn’t be as fruitful considering how old he is now.

‘Modern Family’ has surprised us with several twists and turns in the past decade. Although the show has retained its original cast throughout with minimal alterations, the creators have emerged successful in keeping us hooked. The comedy-drama sitcom is currently in its final season, which has gotten us wondering about the future of our beloved characters once the show concludes. The upcoming episode ‘The Last Thanksgiving’, which is scheduled to air on November 20, might have another big surprise in store for us.

Episode 6 of ‘Modern Family, ‘A Game of Chicken’ offered a couple of hard-to-digest revelations. While Lily’s first heartbreak helped us achieve more clarity on her personality Luke’s calculated business proposal came as a shocker not only to his parents but to us as well. However, what had us at the edge of our seat was Claire’s decision to resign as the CEO of Pritchett’s Closets and Blinds. After serving as a stay-at-home mother for five whole seasons, Claire took up a job at her father’s firm in season 5, only to challenge herself. In the seasons that followed, we saw her make major efforts to prove herself as the quintessential successor to the Pritchett family business.

But, now that Claire has made up her mind about stepping down, Jay is dumped with the responsibility of choosing the right leader to carry forward what he has created. For all we know, he might name one of the members of the Pritchett family as the next CEO of his business and we believe it could be his granddaughter Haley.

Unlike the fashion aficionado Haley that we knew for her disorderliness, the new mother Haley presented to us in the latest season has promised much more commitment from her end. She is also Claire’s eldest which puts her before others in the race for succession. Not to forget, in the last episode, her mother finally convinces her to consider a job and stay employed despite birthing the twins.

Will Jay consider Haley the perfect fit and offer the role of CEO at Pritchett’s Closets and Blinds? Or, take over himself, which wouldn’t be as fruitful considering his age and other factors. We need to wait and watch what all the household of ‘Modern Family’ will experience in the ‘The Last Thanksgiving’.
