After several rounds of rumors and endless speculations surrounding a new season of the much-adored sitcom ‘Modern Family’, last year,  the creators took us by surprise by renewing the series for the eleventh season.

Similar, following Season 11 finale, fans have been constantly seen asking on social media if their favorite oddball of a family would return with yet another season. Although the makers of ‘Modern Family’ haven’t officially announced a new season for the hit sitcom, we have stumbled upon some news that could serve you well.

Amid the hearsay regarding the return of ‘Modern Family’, the brainchild of the series, Christopher Lloyd has teased a spin-off for the same during his interaction with Entertainment Weekly

When asked if they would are planning on creating spin-off for some of our beloved characters of ‘Modern Family’, he responded, “So we have had very preliminary conversations about spinning off some characters. That could be a year from now, we catch up with one or two or three people and then other characters from the show perhaps drop in.”

However, giving more clarity to his previous statement, Lloyd added, “It could be something like that. But I don't want to suggest that that's a real thing, because it isn't yet. It's a thing we knock around. I think that probably seems a little more viable than an hour reunion special. I'm personally happy with where we left the characters and they move on in the imaginations of our viewers.”

While a spin-off still seems uncertain, he sounded optimistic about keeping fans of the show posted about their favorite stars even if they don’t happen to grace our screens once again. Meanwhile, heartbroken fans on realizing that they won’t be getting their weekly dose of ‘Modern Family’ on television, are requesting the creators of the show to make it available on Netflix.

In other news, ‘Modern Family’ actors have already started planning out their respective future as their journey on the decade-old sitcom has come to an end. While Julie Bowen has already sealed the deal for a new show titled ‘Raised by Wolves’, Ty Burrell is focusing on spending time with his family for now, before trying his hand in production in the near future.
