Model Winnie Harlow slammed for making 'a big deal' about flying economy: 'We had to give up our business class seats'
Former 'America's Next Top Model' star Winnie Harlow has come under fire for complaining about having to fly economy after her flight out of the Milan Fashion Week was canceled.
The 25-year-old supermodel shared on her social media with fans and followers on Wednesday, September 18, that she had to give up her business class seat. She added that she had no choice but to fly out that evening as she had a "huge shoot at 6 am" on Thursday.
Harlow also told fans that she had not slept in "four days' as it was a "hectic fashion month". She shared an image of herself in a Prada tracksuit lying on a friend's lap with her feet stuck on the seat next to her.
Many people reacted to Harlow's predicament and said "this really isn't a big deal" while others questioned whether this was the "biggest problem in her life". A few fans and followers, however, praised her for her openness.
Harlow had shot to fame while on Tyra Banks' show 'America's Next Top Model' cycle 21 in 2014. Over the last 10 days, the successful model has walked in many shows in London and New York.
She also recently appeared at the Prada Milan Fashion Week show. Harlow had captioned her image, "I haven't slept in 4 days, and my flight got canceled. The amazing airport escort got my team and I put on the fastest flight out but we had to give up our business class seats in order to land in time for a huge shoot at 6 am."
She added that while it may not seem like such a big deal, the flight is like her bedroom and that is the only time she gets to sleep during heavy fashion months.
"Regardless I’m grateful, God works in mysterious ways and everything happens for a reason. It's not everyday glamour, you have to do what you have to do to be successful in life to reach your goals the grind never stops!"
