Who is Loni Willison? 'Baywatch' star Jeremy Jackson's homeless ex-wife picks trash after refusing $90K rehab
Loni Willison, a former model and actor Jeremy Jackson’s ex-wife was reportedly seen spotted digging through trash in Santa Monica. She was first discovered to be homeless in October 2018. Presently, Willison claims that she is fine living on the streets, without a phone or other basic amenities. The 37-year-old had been reportedly diagnosed with serious mental health issues but she has consistently refused treatment or offers for help from others.
Who is Loni Willison?
Willison was a former fitness model when she married Baywatch star Jackson back in 2012. The two did not share a happy relationship as Willison accused Jackson of trying to strangle her in a fit of rage. In fact, in September 2014, Los Angeles police were summoned to their home on a complaint of a domestic disturbance. The pair split in 2014 after which Jackson wrote a post on Instagram announcing his divorce and saying “.... I have no regrets for the mistakes I have made and my side of the street is clean." In the same post, he also claimed that he was “tricked into love”.
Following the divorce, Willison started staying in her own apartment in LA and started working as an assistant at a cosmetic surgery center. She reportedly got fired from the job, according to DailyMail. After that, she started working for a realtor, who, as per her claims, did not pay her as promised. Willison then suffered severe mental health issues and also could not manage to pay her rent or car repayments after losing her jobs. In 2018, she was evicted from her apartment in West Hollywood and she has been on the streets ever since.
“I lost two jobs and everything crumbled. It's been two years, I've been on the streets since,” Willison shared with DailyMail last year. The report also revealed that her addiction to crystal meth was evident during her speech when she also showed signs of mental illness.
Ex Jeremy Jackson refused to help her
Her life on the streets is definitely no cakewalk. Willison reveals that she has not showered in over a year and tries to keep herself extremely dirty, to ward off any chance of sexual assault. She has also gotten used to being robbed regularly. However, even after knowing about her desolate state, her former husband Jackson was nonchalant about it. In fact, Jackson’s ex-girlfriend Cindy Kovacs spoke out about the issue, sharing that she felt ‘appalled’ by Jackson’s indifference towards Willison’s situation. He did not do anything to help Willison even though he himself had the means.
Even after media houses reached out to him, the former Baywatch star remained unavailable for comments. Now, while recalling about her past life and marriage with Jeremy, Willison reminisced, “I had a nice little apartment.” She also said that she has no contacts whatsoever with any family or friends.
However, in the past, one of her old friends did try to help her. A specialist from a drug rehab center even offered $90,000 of free treatment. But Willison returned to the streets. In the latest conversation with DailyMail, she mentioned, “I've got so much to figure out to get off the streets, I need some help.”
She needs immediate help for mental illness
Her mental health issues have evidently reached an alarming stage as she continues to convince herself that she was being tortured in her apartment with electricity, though she was living alone. She even added that her body was charged with electricity for which she was a threat to people around. Her shocking ideas include that electrical charges were responsible for bringing down buildings and creating mayhem in Hollywood, and only her drugs could stop it.
Willison was spotted this time rummaging through a dumpster and carrying her belongings around in a shopping cart. She was also seen eating a stale piece of bread while wearing several layers of worn-out clothing. There was a wound from a cut-glass on her arm which appeared in a really bad state and needed urgent medical attention. Even though she continues to refuse help, at the end of the day, she couldn’t help but admit that she wants to get off the street and start a new life, DailyMail reported.
