Tajiya Eikura Sahay from the Cook Islands has always been vocal about the importance of keeping fit. Making it to the top 12 of Miss World 2019, Sahay revealed that while growing up she faced a lot of body issues but was able to get past them after she got into fitness. Now, being a fitness trainer she wants to inspire people to work towards a healthier life.

However, to make sure that she is always on her healthy eating and exercise path, Sahay practices different types of exercises. One of her favorites routines is pole dancing. Sahay believes that it is a good way to keep the body fit. "Luckily a Pole Academy had opened in my neighborhood. There are 8 levels, level 1-3 beginners 4-6 Intermediate 7-8 Advanced," she said while talking to The Coconut

"Completing all levels I then had moved to the Cook Islands and missed the exercise so much that when I returned from Australia I made sure I brought one over to the Cook Islands," she added. Sahay revealed that pole dancing helps her to stay healthy while ensuring that her mind is calm.

"It is by far the hardest exercise I have ever done, it does give you multiple bruises and feels like Chinese burns but the more your body and skin conditions it isn’t as painful," she said. " I have now upgraded to a spin pole which I was never taught professionally. I used YouTube tutorials to help me and an l or of practice but this was the fun part, learning something new and it being very challenging, you have to engage your core more and have good balance. This was a thrill and has made me fitter than I’ve ever been!"

Sahay decided to get into fitness because many people in the Cook Islands die before the age of 69 due to obesity-related health issues. She wants to get to help be part of the solution to that problem.
