After getting delayed due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, Miss USA 2020 kicked-off their coveted ceremony on November 6, 2020, with 51 stunning beauties from around the country, alongside Miss Teen USA. Cheslie Kryst of North Carolina, who won the last year’s Miss USA 2019, will crown her successor at the end of the event. Held at Elvis Presley Mansion in Memphis, the event will see three glamorous nights of different rounds with the most recent one being the swimsuit round.

The swimsuit round, held over the weekend, saw the gorgeous ladies sashaying down the ramp at the Soundstage at Graceland in two-pieces and flowing evening gowns. There was no QnA round for the ladies as they simply flaunted their hot-bod and striking smiles. However, the impressive accomplishments of each contestant were read aloud as they walked down the ramp and were welcomed on the stage with constant applause and hooting.

When Kelly Hutchinson from Alabama took the stage, the audience was informed about her saying, “Kelly is a first-year law student at George Washington University and she once performed in front of 87,000 people as a part of her dance team” whereas, when 25-year-old Hannah Carlile from Alaska landed on the stage, she was introduced as someone who knows four languages. Arizona’s Yesenia Vidales' interests include "acting and running an online business as a side gig."

According to the announcer, Sabrina Victor from Massachusetts was identified as a “trained actor who once performed as a background vocalist for pop icon Mariah Carey.” Welcomed with a huge round of applause, Andreia Gibau from New York was introduced as a “public speaker who hosts inter-city workshops and has also been listed in Phoenix Magazine 30 Under 30 list.” South Dakota’s Kalani Jorgensen was identified as a “hairstylist and a salon owner” and as a “dermatologist.”

The official Twitter account of Miss USA also posted a video where they took us behind the scenes and spoke to the contestants as well. While talking about body types, Florida’s Monique Evans asserted, “Whoever competes for Miss USA, I don’t think, you necessarily need one body type. It is all about taking care of your body and be the best version of yourself.”

Looking at the confidence, mini-bios and the attention they got from the audience, it appears Andreia Gibau from New York, Stephanie Miranda from Ohio, Hannah Jane Curry from Rhode Island,  Monique Evans from Florida and Samantha Neyland might race ahead to the finals.

Allie LaForce, Miss Teen USA, and sports reporter along with television host Akbar Gbaja-Biamila have taken over the hosting duties for this season of Miss USA, while Kryst and Christian Murphy are the backstage commentators who are keeping viewers updated on the important updates concerning with the glamorous event. The judges' table includes Carolyn Aronson, CEO of It’s a 10 Haircare, Lynnette Cole – Miss USA 2000 from Tennessee, Abby Hornacek, Fox Nation journalist, Gloria Mayfield Banks, motivational speaker, author, and entrepreneur  Kimberly Pressler-Miss USA 1999 from New York, Susan Yara, beauty and lifestyle expert.
