Who is Andrew 'Tekle' Sundberg? BLM protesters berated by neighbor of gunman, 20, shot dead by police
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: In a recent tragic incident, a Minneapolis mother, identified as Arabella Foss-Yarbrough, was seen on a video yelling at a group of protesters who gathered outside of an apartment building inside the Seward neighborhood where a Black man, Andrew "Tekle" Sundberg, was shot and killed by police on July 14. She shouted, “This is not a George Floyd situation."
Many protesters were at the south-side apartment on July 16 where the 20-year-old Sundberg was shot following a six-hour standoff, when the mother of a two and four-year-old children, who first called 911 on the night of the incident, showed up. She yelled, “The shot went through my door, through a pillar to the kitchen, I was cooking for my kids. My kids have to deal with this and probably have a mental illness now because they almost lost their lives. There’s bullet holes in my kitchen because he sat in the f–ing hallway watching me move. He tried to kill me in front of my kids." "This is not a George Floyd situation. George Floyd was unarmed. This is not okay," Arabella confronted, who pointed out the May 25, 2020 attack when George Floyd, an unarmed Black American male, was murdered by a White police officer in Minneapolis and the footage of his killing was widely shared and caused widespread protests.

Who was Andrew 'Tekle' Sundberg?
As per reports by CBS, 20-year-old Sundberg fired multiple gunshots on the night of July 14 his neighbor, Arabella, called 911, saying a bullet went through her wall. She told, "The first loud bang that I heard, I didn't know it was a gunshot.” “I thought, 'We're not going to make it, we're not going to make it,’” she narrated how she grabbed her two young sons and hid in the bedroom, where she called the police, who came to the spot and saved them.
After the police officials got Arabella’s sons out of the apartment, Sundberg isolated himself and the officials had to spend over six hours trying to deal with him. Then, around 4.30 am on July 15, two snipers shot Sundberg, fatally wounding him. Later, he died at Hennepin Healthcare. McCay Lillian, a neighbor of both the slain man and Arabella, posted on Facebook saying she heard the gunshots and slammed the protesters for not believing her. She shared how on the night of the shooting she and her husband "received a notification to stay in our home because there was an active shooter 0.5 miles away. There was a sudden moment of silence and then for the next 6 hours it was nothing but sirens and the sounds of officers speaking over the intercom with the same.exact.sentence. “Tekle- this is the Minneapolis Police Dept. pick up your phone so we can talk”. It wasn’t until about 12AM when I found out the reason it all started. On that Tuesday night, he opened fire at his neighbors unit across the hall while her and her kids were home. I find it insane how a woman who escaped her stalker with two children by her side is beyond me. What’s even worse is that every single post I have seen or new channel I’ve watched has dismissed her until recently…Not only is her home gone but she was let go the next day and got to celebrate by watching her attempted killers vigil, protest and rallies. This case is a perfect example of how black women are treated in today’s society.. being almost murdered by your stalker just isn’t enough to be shown even the littlest amount of respect OR any praise for protecting her children." She also edited her post to clarify that "we could see directly into his unit when he opened the curtains the entire night. There is nothing we missed..."
The death of Sandberg, who was fatally shot by Aaron Pearson and Zachary Seraphine, members of the SWAT team, was the second encounter involving Minneapolis police. The first was the shooting of Amir Locke on February 2 of this year, when a SWAT team executing an early morning no-knock warrant shot the 22-year-old. Now again in the case of Sundberg many demanded to release the footage of the killing, to which Minneapolis City Attorney’s Office responded by saying, “With more than 50 officers involved over the span of more than six hours, there are hundreds of hours of body camera video and audio to review. Consistent with legal requirements and protocol, Minneapolis Police Department personnel are working through the process to redact elements of video, such as identities, that will be viewed in the short term.”

Who is Arabella Foss-Yarbrough?
Arabella, who survived the shooting, is of Black, White and Native descent, as per reports. She questioned the protest by asking, "I have Black children; I am a woman of color! If I would have lost my life, would you guys do this for me?"
A GoFundMe page was established for Arabella after she lost her job following the stand-off with police. The page mentioned that Sundberg had allegedly been "harassing and stalking her for months." Another GoFundMe was also established to help cover Sundberg’s funeral expenses, "food, and helping the youngest siblings in the family."
