MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: A Milwaukee Public Library has become an internet phenomenon for its trending and hilarious TikTok account. The library's latest video, which shows a 90-year-old elderly woman flipping the bird at the suggestion that she was too old to check out manga books, has garnered millions of views.

This is just one of the creative videos made by the Milwaukee Public Library in an attempt to lure customers into perusing its shelves. In the TikTok video, the elderly woman could be seen approaching a rack of manga books at the library. A statement highlighting the video reads, "'You're 78, you can't read Manga," over the content.

The woman strolls to the rack before swiftly exploring through some titles and pulling out a book. However, in response to the suggestion that she's too old for the Japanese comic genre, the woman shows the middle finger to the camera with a scowl on her face before sticking out her tongue. The video then flashes another hysterical response that reads, "I'm 90," while the elderly woman, donning a pair of sunglasses, walks off. The video was first posted in November 2022 and has since gained more than 10 million views on the platform.

It was revealed the star of the video was in fact the grandmother of 38-year-old library employee Fawn Siemsen-Fuchs, who is in charge of creating content for the videos, according to Daily Mail. Siemsen-Fuchs is responsible for writing content and finding volunteers to appear in the video. She also works alongside Derek Reilly, 32, a research and policy coordinator who films and edits the TikToks.

"People probably wondered if our content was going to be good or engaging based on the fact that we're both in our 30s," Reilly told the Wall Street Journal. He credited their experience working at the library as the reason that helps them shoot engaging videos for its audience. "I don't think an intern, someone that's not familiar with the library, could create this content," Rilley added.

Another such creative video stars an edited version of rapper Saweetie strutting through the library to go use its bathroom. One video appears to mock fun at customers using self-checkout to slyly pick up erotic novels at the library.
