MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: A 10-year-old boy from Milwaukee, who has been charged with his mother's murder, reportedly pleaded with a judge to reduce his $50,000 bond to $100 as he has the money saved in a piggy bank. The young boy allegedly shot his mother Quiana Mann, 44, after she forbade him from purchasing a virtual reality (VR) headgear from Amazon. Following the horrific incident, the juvenile is being tried as an adult and has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide and first-degree intentional homicide.

The boy allegedly fatally shot his mother and walked upstairs to wake up his sister, 26, who discovered the horrific shooting and dialed 911. The child initially claimed to the police that the gun "accidentally went off" as he was twisting it around his finger. The complaint claims that he later acknowledged that he wasn't spinning the gun when he allegedly shot his mother, according to a report by The US Sun.

The boy then proceeded to order the device from his dead mother's Amazon account just one day after her death. According to reports, the youngster revealed that the night before the shooting, he had stolen the keys to his mother's gun lockbox as his mother "would not allow him to have something from Amazon that he wanted to have." The complaint stated that he afterward went back and got the gun because he was upset that his mother had woken him up at 6 am when he typically sleeps until 6.30 am. Before 7 in the morning, his mother was reportedly shot closely in the right eye.

The youngster "admitted to knowing that guns are dangerous and can kill people." However, he told the investigators that "he has 5 different imaginary people that talk to him," as he put it. The boy always had "rage issues," according to his sister, who also claimed that the youngster "becomes very angry and acts out," and that the boy's therapist had given him a "concerning diagnosis."

According to WTMJ, the child's attorneys requested a lower bond value to $100 instead of $50,000 because that is all the boy has and he has no other means of support. Asking for the reduced bail amount, Attorney Angela Cunningham told the court, "My team and I have spoken to him about his ability to post anything." She added, "He told us about piggy banks with savings that he had from gifts, from birthday gifts, and scavenging through cushions in the couch that he's been able to save up." The judge turned down the request and maintained his $50,000 bail. He faces a 60-year prison sentence if found guilty of the first offense and a life sentence applies to the second.
