Mika Brzezinski bashed for 'entertaining' Chris Christie on 'Morning Joe' after second GOP debate
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: After the second GOP debate took place in Simi Valley, California at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, former New Jersey governor and GOP candidate Chris Christie made an appearance on ‘Morning Joe.’
Christie was in conversation with ‘Morning Joe’ host Mika Brzezinski who asked him more about the second GOP debate, and Christie took this opportunity to talk more about former President Donald Trump.
However, the internet wasn’t impressed with either Christie or ‘Morning Joe’ for having Christie on, as the MSNBC news show faced severe backlash on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Chris Christie recalls second GOP debate on ‘Morning Joe’
On ‘Morning Joe,’ host Mika Brzezinski welcomed Chris Christie and dived straight into the second GOP debate that took place on September 27.
Brzezinski said, “Joining us now is one of the candidates who was on the stage at the Reagan Library last night, former New Jersey governor, Chris Christie. Chris…thanks for being on this morning, ah, I gotta ask you, what the heck was that, what happened last night?”
The ‘Morning Joe’ host was the first to mention the former president, “Donald Trump he is the frontrunner, he is the former President of the United States.”
Brzezinski continued, “A judge found him liable for massive fraud, and he called for the execution of the chairman of the joint chiefs. How is it that nobody in the room bought that up last night?”
Christie responded, “Well Mika, what I did last night was taken on Donald Trump directly as I have throughout. I took him on, on Ukraine, I took him on his relationship with Putin, I took him on his failure to show up.”

As Christie continued, and his appearance on ‘Morning Joe’ focussed on the second GOP debate, the internet was disappointed with ‘Morning Joe’ for having him on to begin with.

On X, ‘Morning Joe’ shared the news of GOP candidate Chris Christie’s appearance on the show. In response, one person wrote, “I can’t believe after last night you’d even entertain this guy on the show. I hope Mika puts him in his place.”

“WHY?!!!” asked one user, and another user wrote, “Please get this nasty off the air.” One person simply said, "No, thanks."
One user said, “Morning Joe, I turned you off when you entertained Christie,” and another wrote, “Hard pass.”

People have claimed to have changed the channel when Christie appeared on ‘Morning Joe,’ “I went to sports when he came on.” Another user on X also said, “Immediately changes channels.”
