Wealthy NY school asks parents of rich children not to send them in $350 Moncler beanies
Parents of children at a school in a wealthy New York suburb are facing a "fashion dilemna" after the school sent a mail to them asking them not to send their kids to school wearing $350 designer beanies.
In the email, the admistrative staff at the Great Neck North Middle School at North Shore Long said the students were losing their high-end Moncler beanies, which in turn was distracting them from concentrating on their lessons in school.
The Italian apparel brand became widely popular amongst school children especially after Canadian rapper Drake wore one of their puffer jackets in the music video for his hit track, 'Hotline Bling'.
According to the New York Post, one of their bestsellers is their $350 Winter Pom Pom hats, and the students who owned and lost them at school were left distraught.
