Michael Moore's 'shocked' Biden picked Kamala Harris for running mate, Internet wants 'Trump asset' to shut up

Twitter slammed Moore saying he was only pretending to favor Biden and putting up the 'anti-Trump' image while supporting the Republicans

Academy-award winning documentary filmmaker Michael Moore is in the headlines again over a few statements he made about Democratic nominee Joe Biden, his VP pick Kamala Harris and President Donald Trump. Moore has been trending on Twitter after his latest appearance on MSNBC before the official kickoff of the Democratic National Convention, which has also led to the network receiving immense backlash from the viewers. 

American pundit Bill Scher was one of the first few people to take to Twitter to discuss what Moore said during his interview on MSNBC. He tweeted, "Michael Moore, just now on MSNBC, said he was 'shocked' that Biden didn’t 'swing to the right' and pick Susan Rice, and instead 'swung to the left' and picked Kamala Harris."

Only a few days ago, when Biden had announced that he had chosen Harris as his running mate, Moore had shared a long post on his Facebook, expressing his opinion regarding Biden's choice of VP. He wrote, "Kamala Harris! Biden could’ve swung right (Susan Rice), but he swung left. Kamala is one of the most progressive Senators in the US Senate and will, as Shaun King says, be the most progressive Vice President in the history of the United States. She is and remains one of the first co-sponsors of Bernie’s Medicare for All bill. In fact, go down the list — she checks nearly every box on Bernie’s platform: Living Wage, Choice, LGBTQ+ equality, peace, child care, etc." He further praised Harris saying she is working towards achieving an "equitable society" and that she is "one more step in that direction."

Ehen Moore was on MSNBC a few months ago, he had predicted that there would be an "anti-Biden sentiment" if Biden was chosen as the Democratic nominee. He told news anchor Katy Tur, "Should Biden be the nominee, I don’t think it will be the same anti-Hillary sentiment, but there will be an anti-Biden sentiment," reports The Hill. "Not so much because of himself personally but because people don’t see this as real change," he added further. 

However, in August 17's interview, he told 'The Beat' anchor Ari Melber that he believes Biden can win against Trump. He said, "Even your own poll today, the NBC poll, showed that (when) asked 'Why are you voting for Joe Biden,' 58 percent said because he's not Trump. That's the number one reason. So I look at that and I worry because people do need to get excited."

Today, Twiterrati once again dragged Moore into their conversation on the platform, as they slammed him saying he was only pretending to be favoring Biden and putting up the "anti-Trump" image while supporting the Republicans. One user wrote, "Why does anyone waste his time on him? Swing to the right? Well Michael Moore is a Republican who has been trying to destroy the Democratic Party for years."

Another added, "Michael Moore giving political strategy advice is like me giving advice to a brain surgeon ... I don’t because like Moore I don’t know what the f**k I’m talking about! So shut the f**k up Moore."

And some of them seemed disappointed with the network for having him on their show. One viewer tweeted, "Michael Moore is a #Trump Asset. @MSNBC we don’t need to waste our time on him."

While another added, "Someone just tweeted Michael Moore is on @MSNBC. They're both terrible."
