'American Horror Story: Murder House' had predicted Michael's 'Alpha' status before he was born
There was a crucial prediction made at the doctor's office in 'Murder House' and it connects to 'Apocalypse' and Michael like it was destiny.
Ryan Murphy's 'American Horror Story' franchise runs on connected dots. This season, after promising a crossover between 'Coven' and 'Murder House,' the creators ended up giving us a 'Hotel' crossover as well. While there's a slight chance of some other insane crossovers in the latest season, 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse,' there's an even bigger chance that this season will find a way to weave our slick and smooth of Antichrist Michael Langdon into almost all of them.
So who is Michael Landon? The son of the ghost of Tate Langdon and 'Murder House' resident Vivien Harmon, Michael is something of an anomaly. He's not a ghost and he's not a human - he lives on a plane that is a mix of both which gives him evil advantages. He can get souls out from places you couldn't imagine, and he can change his appearance to suit the mood. He is so powerful that he got Queenie out of Hotel Cortez which was something even Cordelia Goode, the Supreme couldn't do. He was also able to get Madison out of her personal hell. The master of Level 4 at the Hawthorne School for Exceptional Young Men, Mike is a force to be reckoned with. The only problem is, he's as evil as they come.
He casually calls Satan his "father" so that sentiment explains it all. The way Michael was born is also crucial to his character. Born out of two evils from the 9 Realms of Hell - violence, and lust, he was conceived when Tate decided to put on the infamous rubber suit and rape Vivien pretending to be her husband Ben in 'Murder House.' He even ate away his twins in the womb and came out victorious - that brings me to a flashback to 'Murder House' where Vivien and Ben are at the doctor's office.
So the expecting parents are so excited about the triplets that they are going to have. They visit the doctor, and he tells them something incredibly interesting. He informs them that one of the three babies is growing at an extremely high pace and is eating the other two - almost in a way that it's sucking out the nutrition and life force from its weaker counterparts. He says, "The alpha, if you will." Now think where else have you heard the word? That's right, the warlocks keep calling him their Alpha.
This theory points to the fact that Mikey may be the Alpha of the warlocks - the man they believe will be the master of it all. According to Ariel's prophecy, the Alpha's "power would be beyond comprehension and his magic would exterminate that of the witches." So there's a possibility that he did indeed overthrow the witches and that's how the apocalypse began.
Have Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk been sitting on this reference for so long and have finally connected it to 'Apocalypse'? Anything is possible here.
'American Horror Story' airs every Thursday at 10 pm on FX.
