MALONE, NEW YORK: Three Malone residents have been charged with kidnapping and assault after allegedly abusing a teenage girl for hours before leaving her on the side of the road in Bangor.

The 16-year-old victim was allegedly attacked within 12 hours on Friday, December 9, according to New York State Police. She was abandoned on the street and turned up at the home of a Bangor resident who lives on Webster Mill Road. Malone Village Police Chief Christopher J Premo said state police called his department shortly after 3.30 pm Saturday to investigate a possible assault in the village. Premo said the victim sustained "substantial injuries," but the nature of her wounds is still unknown, according to The Sun. The Bangor resident drove the victim directly to Alice Hyde Medical Center when she knocked on its door.

The Village of Malone Police Department conducted an investigation and learned that the victim had gone to a house on Ketchum Street in the evening of the day of the incident, where they were reportedly attacked and battered by three people over the course of 12 hours.

The victim claimed that during the prolonged attack, bleach was poured on them and they were repeatedly struck with a metal baseball bat. After that, the victim was placed in a car and driven off along a Bangor road, according to authorities.

Brittany Vanderwerker, 30, and Chantelle M Faubert, 28, have both been arrested by police in relation to the incident. The charges against Vanderwerker and Faubert include kidnapping and assault. Michael P Vanderwerker was also arrested by police after they observed a pickup truck leaving the house where the victim had allegedly been attacked.

Kidnapping and first-degree assault were additional charges brought against Michael. Following the discovery of evidence of cocaine in the car, police also arrested Chad Clement, 22, and Brian Richards, 29. Police reported that they were accused of possessing a controlled drug.

Premo stated a search warrant was being carried out by the village police, state police, and members of the Tri-County Special Response Team when a state trooper stopped a pickup truck leaving 30 Ketchum Street. Police have stated that the investigation is still underway and have issued a caution regarding more arrests.
