A 'mentally ill' man, accused of inappropriately touching a baby girl, has been arrested and taken into custody after his lawyer tried to argue that his actions did not have any sexual intentions.
Fifty one-year-old Rodney James Laurie, from New South Wales, Australia, has been accused of inappropriately touching the infant while her mother was holding her on the streets of Nimbin in northern NSW.
The Daily Mail reported that a Lismore local court heard that Laurie approached the mother and child before he allegedly grabbed the woman by the arm and then attempted to put his "dirty fingers" in the infant's mouth. It was also alleged that after doing this, Laurie then put his fingers down the front of the child's diaper.
