The upcoming Mexican horror film is going to leave you praying to the Lord. Haunted by his past, retired priest Menendez lives without faith. When a friend asks him for help to exorcise his daughter, Menendez is pulled back into the darkness he had managed to escape.

Fábregas plays the role of Menendez, a priest who is haunted by his own sins and lives in seclusion. When his friend arrives seeking help for his daughter, Menendez reluctantly agrees. He doesn't know of the horrors that await him. The actor is best known for his work in '[Rec] 2', 'Mar de fons', 'Love in Difficult Times' and 'El comisario'.

Mexican actress Heredia plays the role of Marisa, who, going by the looks of the trailer, is a part of Menendez's past. The actress is best known for her recent work in 'Diablero', 'Sense8', 'Chicuarotes' and 'Two Men in Town'.

Romo, who is best known for her portrayal of Nora in the soap opera 'El color de la pasión', plays the role of the possessed young girl. The actress is known for her work in 'Tales of an Immoral Couple', 'Everybody Loves Somebody', 'Mentada de padre', 'Como si fuera la primera vez' and in 'This Is Not Berlin', a role for which she was nominated for the Ariel Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Creators

'Menendez: The Day of the Lord' is written and directed by Santiago Alvarado Ilarri, along with writer Ramón Salas. Beatriz Elena Herrera Bours, Alejandro Sugich, Julieta Perales serve as producers of the movie.
