'They only care about lining their pockets'

As soon as the video was posted on social media, #RepublicansDontCare started trending on Twitter. One Internet user said: "#RepublicansDontCare about the poor or the middle class, or even union workers, but they have done a damm good job of convincing them that they do. The Republicans have never supported any policies that help anyone, from Social Security, Medicare, to the Affordable Care Act." While another one said: "They don’t, They only care about lining their pockets so they can maintain their power over the sheep that’s ALL they care about."

Taking history into account, another one agreed with the trend, saying: "Never did. Never will. Going back to the days of Lee Atwater and Richard Nixon. It's continued to get worse."

Sharing the video, another one said: "REMEMBER when you’re spending that $1400! EVERY REPUBLICAN voted NO. Because they don’t care if you or I, live or die. They voted yes for tax cuts on the wealthy! But not a DIME for you and me. #RepublicansDontCare"

Slamming the party, another one said: "#RepublicansDontCare about most people. They do care about their racist religion (cult). Civilized society requires cooperation. The Republican Party is comprised of thieving bullies and the gullible fools that they steal from."

One wrote: "#RepublicansDontCare Republicans father line their wallets than fill your pocket book, they rather starve Americans than feed Americans, None of the Republicans voted for the American Rescue Plan, because they don’t care."
