Millions of voters are set to tune in to the second and final presidential debate between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden today, with many eyes on NBC News White House correspondent Kirsten Welker as she prepares to host the event. Renowned journalist Megyn Kelly, for one, has notified the moderator about allegations that the Biden family "aggressively leveraged the Biden family name to make millions of dollars through foreign entities".

"Att’n @kwelkernbc @NBCNews: “I would ask the Biden family to address the American people & outline the facts... The Biden family aggressively leveraged the Biden family name to make millions of dollars through foreign entities...” Kelly wrote on Twitter, quoting a statement from Lt. Tony Bobulinski - an alleged business associate of Hunter Biden, as per a Fox News report.

Welker has strong ties to Democrat activism and comes from an established Democratic family that has heavily contributed to the coffers of Trump opponents, according to the New York Post. “Her mother, Julie Welker, a prominent real estate broker in Philadelphia, and father, Harvey Welker, consulting engineer, have donated tens of thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates and close to $20,000 to Barack Obama alone,” according to The Post's Jon Levine. “There was also $3,300 for Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign and $2,100 for Hillary Clinton’s doomed 2016 presidential effort against Trump. Another $7,300 was contributed to the Democratic National Committee between 2004 and 2020.”

Social media users, mostly Trump supporters, rushed to agree with former Fox News star Kelly. "The Bidens used the public trust to enrich their family while the Trumps entered the public trust at the risk of their own family," one wrote.

"Trying to get the MSM to acknowledge the story is hard enough. Don’t expect any questions or serious investigations from any of them," another added.

"Agreed! He should be asked tonight. Americans deserve to know," a third chimed in.

"Independent Megyn is unstoppable! Maybe I never got over the first question from the first debate in 2015. I let that moment define her for too long. That’s was me being immature? I get it now Megyn is giving us good information, great guests, and very enjoyable commentary," another wrote.

Levine, over the weekend, brought attention to Welker's Facebook photographs of her and her family celebrating Christmas at the White House with the Obamas in 2012. Levine also noted how Welker allegedly “tipped off” Hillary Clinton’s Communication Director Jennifer Palmieri about “at least one question" before a March 2016 interview.

“I’m going to ask you about Flint,” Welker told Palmieri, referring to the Michigan city’s infamous water crisis.

Trump pounced on the report shortly after, tweeting, “She’s always been terrible & unfair, just like most of the Fake News reporters, but I’ll still play the game. The people know! How’s Steve Scully doing?”

Trump and Biden are set to square off one last time at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday in a 90-minute debate commencing at 9 pm.
