Megyn Kelly has fans worried after she shares frightening story about escaping bear attack
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Megyn Kelly vividly recounted how she learned how to defend herself against an attack by a brown bear and a black bear during a visit to Montana.
Kelly had Steve Rinella, an outdoorsman and a conservationist on her podcast ‘The Megyn Kelly Show’ who is renowned for translating the hunting lifestyle for wide audiences.
During the podcast, Kelly shared a story from her time in Montana, where she received a safety briefing on how to deal with a bear while hiking in the woods.
Kelly explained to her viewers the difference between approaching a black bear and a brown bear, with the story causing her fans to worry about her safety, stating that she must be “protected" at all costs.
Megyn Kelly recounts her bear safety training experience in Montana
Among the various topics discussed on her podcast that day, the one that excited all viewers was Kelly’s story about dealing with a brown and black bear in Montana.
She said, “When I went to Montana, they told us not to go for a walk unless you bring the bear spray and you have to wait to spray the bear spray until the bear is within 10 feet of you.”
Kelly then pivoted to the bigger point and enlightened her audience about the differences in tackling a brown and a black bear.
She said, “The lesson we got was if it’s a black bear, you want to make yourself big and try to be scary but if it's a brown bear don’t do that at all. Be quiet. Be still and whatever you do, don’t run.”
However, there was a humorous twist to her tale. Kelly informed the viewers that “sometimes the black bears look brown.”
She said if anyone mistook a black bear for a brown one, they’d end up “dead.”
“We’re dead. We’re all dead. Well, the grizzly has the hump. What if I can’t see the hump. What if he's coming from a different angle?"
Kelly laughed at this apparent confusion and admitted, “This is a lot to put stock in when it comes to your life and your children’s life.”
Fans call for ‘preserving’ Megyn Kelly after hearing her ‘bear’ story

Another added, “She's from Bar Country too. Miss Kelly you sure are a daisy” while a fourth said, “Just adore Megan Kelly's energy.”
A fifth advised her to carry a weapon when hiking, “This is why you carry a 44 Magnum AutoMag. It will blow the Bear's head clean off! If you don't, you have to ask yourself one question. Do you feel lucky? Well, do you?”
A sixth echoed the same sentiment and said, “That’s why you should always be packing heat!!! Especially in the wilderness!!”
