After Sharon Osbourne leaves 'The Talk', Internet says Meghan McCain should exit 'The View' for the 'same reason'
After Sharon Osbourne’s exit from ‘The Talk’, is Meghan McCain’s exit from rival daytime talk show ‘The View’ imminent? Viewers of the show seem to be speculating on this happening, and some are even hoping for it.
On Twitter, one user wrote on March 28, “Tiffany Cross dragged Princess Meghan this morning!! Now is great time for @TheView to stop dragging their feet and fire Meghan McCain.” Another Twitter user said on March 24, “I want them to fire her. But I also want to see how much worse this can get.” A March 26 tweet stated, "The View needs to fire Meghan McCain. Now."

Damn.
It’s safe to say that the audience rarely has any love for McCain. But will that really amount to her ouster from the show? If Osbourne’s case is to be taken as a standard, there may just be some cause for it.
Osbourne exited ‘The Talk’ amid allegations of racist behavior. CBS made the announcement on Friday, March 26. “Sharon Osbourne has decided to leave ‘The Talk,’” the release from CBS said. “The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home,” the statement added.
Multiple sources, including former ‘The Talk’ co-host Leah Remini, claimed Osbourne used racist slurs when talking about others on the show. She allegedly referred to Julie Chen, who is Chinese American, as a “wonton” and “slanty eyes” and called former co-host Sara Gilbert, who is lesbian, as a “p***y licker.”
Recently, McCain was slammed for her take on identity politics, when she said, “We’ve only had one Asian American co-host this show. So does that mean one of us should be leaving at some point because there’s not enough representation? We’re talking about, is identity politics more important than qualifications of a job?”
To this, MSNBC's Tiffany Cross said, “But just like with hairstyles, Meghan, we’ve watched you take it, twist it, braid it and lock it so it benefits the warped presentation of your clumsy and ill-informed thoughts.” Cross also said that the notion that women of color were not qualified “preposterous." She added, "From now on, I hope you speak less and listen more and take a little time to enjoy this view.”
Last year in December, McCain returned to the ABC daytime talk show after being absent from the show since late September 2020. She was on maternity leave. However, after she returned, viewers have expressed their desire to have McCain replaced with Ana Navarro, an American political strategist, and commentator who received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host in 2020 for ‘The View’. The Nicaraguan-born TV personality is largely known to be unapologetic about her opinions on former President Trump, despite being a Republican like McCain.
