Meghan McCain blasts Elon Musk and Nick Cannon for creepy 'impregnate the planet' mentality
A day after Elon Musk confirmed being a father to 10 kids, Meghan McCain penned a scathing op-ed dragging the Tesla CEO for his creepy mentality of having large families. Nick Cannon who had given thumbs up to Musk was too dragged over the same.
In an op-ed penned for the Daily Mail, the renowned TV personality mocked the SpaceX boss for his social media exchange with Cannon where they joked about fathering so many children with multiple women. It was recently revealed that Musk welcomed twins last year with his Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis. Nick Cannon, on the other hand, has six children, with reportedly two more on the way.

Elon Musk and Nick Cannon's 'creepiest tag team tweet thread in history'
McCain in her fierce op-ed asserted, “This may be the creepiest tag team tweet thread in history. I don't care how many times Musk eviscerates cancel culture and wokeism.” She continued, “I don't care that he is 'supposedly' buying Twitter to save it from the bots and thought-police, or colonizing Mars to save the human race. This is flat out weird."
McCain wrote: "If you look at the timeline of the births of Musk's children, you'll see he had a son with singer Grimes in May 2020, then twins with Zilis in November 2021, and then a daughter via surrogate with Grimes in December 2021. So, he apparently had simultaneous pregnancies going on. Cannon fathered four babies in a year's time and then jokingly referred to his manner of procreation as akin to a 'seahorse'."
The 37-year-old mother of two further stated, “This 'impregnate the planet' mentality is creepy and comes off like the actions of a cult leader more than an altruistic person who wants to expand their family and save the planet." McCain agreed that celebrities have sufficient funds to take care of their children but still she did not support their behavior. She warns "Elon is the wealthiest man on the planet, he certainly can largely do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, however he wants, but don't for a minute think that ordinary Americans relate to this at all." She continued, “Let's get one thing straight – Musk is no role model. What he decides to do with his sperm, surrogates, and employees is his choice” before concluding, “It all feels very impersonal, fatalistic, and dystopian. Either we act like emotionless rabbits and repopulate the planet or face a dire peril."

‘Kids are worth it if at all possible’, says Elon Musk
Musk, on July 8 tweeted, “Kids are worth it if at all possible. I’m planning to increase childcare benefits at my companies significantly. Hopefully, other companies do same. Also, Musk Foundation plans to donate directly to families. Hopefully, details to be announced next month.” In another post, Musk said, “Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far.” To this Cannon replied, “Right there with you my Brother!” Musk quickly responded: 'Congrats on your family! We must expand scope & scale of consciousness for civilization to flourish & understand nature of Universe. Consciousness resides most strongly in humans, therefore we need more people!" To his McCain countered in her op-ed: "The bar for bringing a new life into the world should not be 'if at all possible.'" She suggests instead: " How about? If you have the ability to nurture another human being in a loving home then you should have a child." She claimed that there was a 'subtle shame factor' also to what Musk was saying - "That if we all don't have as many children as our bodies are capable of, we are not addressing some existential crisis of population decline."
