Meghan McCain called out a woman who body-shamed her saying it was this king of harassment that can lead women to eating disorders.

34-year-old McCain had shared a picture of herself along with 'The View' co-host Abby Huntsman while sporting a pink outfit for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

In the comments below the picture, one woman suggested that McCain should go on a diet. In the since-deleted tweet, the woman had written, "How many pounds ago was that profile picture? Jenny Craig, NutriSystem or Weight Watchers (WW) would endorse you without hesitation."

McCain responded to the woman to tell her how rude and harmful her comment was. "It’s harassment like this that can lead women to eating disorders. I am one of the lucky ones who never suffered from it," McCain shared.

She added that she had been able to achieve all of her goals without having to diet at all. She concluded that she was hopeful that other young women and girls know that they don't have to diet either.

This is not the first time that McCain has been body-shamed and she has often found herself responding to people who criticize her appearance. It was just last month that McCain opened up about her body-shaming experience on an episode of 'The View'. She revealed how its a daily thing on social media for her.

"If I weren’t fat-shamed, I wouldn’t have a career. Laura Ingraham said I was ‘too plus-sized to be on TV’. Shout out to Laura—I’m on 'The View' and you’re not!" she said.

In 2018, she had responded to Megyn Kelly for insisting that some women "want" to be fat-shamed. "Trust me, there are real-life ramifications for fat shaming of any kind, it is NEVER acceptable. We should be fostering a healthy culture that celebrates all women of all sizes," McCain wrote.
